Heading to AK for just one day and already thinking about what I want to eat. What is your favorite snack there?
I’ll second the Dawa’s cocktails. My favorite used to be the jalapeño pretzels but they have been gone for several years nowFrozen Chai at Royal Anandapur. I think they have a froze matcha too.
Chicken Dumplings Mr Kamal's
Cocktails at Dawa Bar
Tiger Tail from Isle of Java
Cinnamon Roll from Kusafiri
Pineapple Lumpia & giant pretzel Pongu Pongu
We used to get the Dole Whip with rum at Tamu Tamu, but the only use coconut rum now. They have a Dole Whip float with Pineapple Hard Cider that sounds good.
I agree that the sauce is kind of meh. But I really like the seasoning on the fries. its definitely salt based, but that's not always a bad thing when you're sweating out buckets under the sunI’m certainly not one to yuck someone’s yum, but we found Mr. Kamal’s fries to be underwhelming. The seasoning was fine, definitely a salt forward seasoning mix, but the sauce was basically mayonnaise and ketchup with maybe the tiniest bit of heat. Apparently the sauce used to be interesting, but the one that was available in December was boring. Just didn’t feel worth the money for fries.
Otherwise I’d echo the other recommendations.

Mr. Kamal's Seasoned Fries have been so dumbed down to a shell of their former glory I don't even know why they still have them tbqh. The OGs with the tzatziki and sriracha were out of this world good and genuinely worth the time. I don't even bother with these ones now.I agree that the sauce is kind of meh. I second that choice. I like the haystacks - a mound of potato sticks coated with melted peanut butter chips. Best sweet/salty item I've ever had!I like to pop into Zuri's Sweets Shop in Africa.
