Hi All

I know if any one will have some ideas it is all of you smart individuals who may have the same issues and can hand over some great advice.

Long story short am new to lower back pain from an injury not long ago. I work as a pharmacy tech and am on my feet.

Not a stylish person but a bit attractive would be great. Some are not so attractive JMHO.

I can live with unatractive if I have to. I just want to be at the top of my game as best as I can.

Any help will do.

Thanks a bunch!!!!

I fell off my deck 5 years ago, and now have all sorts of back and shoulder problems. For a mid-grade brand, I like Clarks. Several local dept. stores put them on sale throughout the year, so I usually pay about $40/pair. I am getting ready to bite the bullet and spend some money on "Dr. Comfort". These are available through most pharmacies. I don't do well with cheap shoes, but I like "Earth Shoe/Earth Spirit" available at Wal-Mart. Not bad for the money.

For me, I found New Balance walking shoes were and are the the most comfy and I injured my back over 14 yrs ago and after 2 surgeries went thru many different shoes before coming the the NB. Then on our last trip to WDW developed a bone spur, ended up getting Crocs, wow what comfort they were. So for Disney I wear my Crocs, for around the neighborhood and shopping I wear NB. You may have to do a trial and error to find ones that are the best for you and some may feel great for a time and turn out to be the worst after a day or so. Good luck, and oh yes when you are able the best fix for me was moderate exercise, that is what finally got me back to work with moderate pain.

Danskos no doubt are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They cost about $100 but are worth every penny. I have the black patent ones -- some would call them stylish, others might not think so...

I find that the scketchers shapeups are the best- lots of padding- I love walking standing in mine. About 100 dollars but so worth it to be comfortable. Chiropracter really helps too.

z-coils are hands down the best shoes I have ever worn for my back pain. I have disc disease and arthritis and was really in pain last spring. I bought the shoes and was amazed at how much better I felt.

I had worn new balance, and dansko and while they were both good, these were the first shoes I found that really helped me feel better.

They are expensive and ugly, but I love the way the make me feel.

I love my Birkenstocks. not very stylish but work great for my severe back pain (from a fall) they are the only ones I wear.

I think they are worth every penny and help my back and legs feel great when I am on them all day. I teach, so I am up alot. Everyone in my building wears them b/c they are great for standing all day on concrfete floors.

:thumbsup2 New Balance gets my vote too! I don't have back trouble but i broke my foot and i've never had any trouble with these shoes.
