HI! We ware thinking about taking a disney cruise to the bahamas.....what month is the best time as far as weather goes? I would like the weather to be warm so we can go swimming and aslo lay on the beach. What month is best? Thanks

I've been in March where the weather is 75-80 and in November when it was very humid and 80-85 both times were nice but November was more humid to me. Both times I was in shorts, capris, and the like. You can check the weather by going to the weatherchannel.com. They have almanacs there. The water was cold to me but everyone has their own idea what is warm. Once you get in it's fine. My next cruise is in October. The weather is pretty similar to what is in Florida. My main concern was hurricane season. We had no probelms in November.

I have been in February, May, June, August, September and December. It has always been nice enough to be on the beach.

The water temperature is almost a constant temperature year round. The air is not. If you go during the coldest months the water will feel warm to swim in. If you go during the hottest months the air will be warm to lay in, but the water may be observed as cold or chilly.

I'm planning to cruise in January. What can I expect the temps. to be at Castaway? I've been to WDW in Jan. many times and sometimes we can wear shorts and other times we have frozen to death! Hoping for warm weather on the island!

In my book, any month you can cruise to the Bahamas is a good month!

I have been at CC when it's 95 and humid; been there when it's been 60, breezy and cool.

No matter what the temp is, I love spending the day there. I can easily adapt!

We've been in August and September and the weather was perfect for enjoying the water - hot and humid!

We went in March and the water felt way too cool to swim. A lot of kids swam once the sun came out, but not many adults braved it. We too like it warm! We'll never sail in the winter/spring again. We had to wear jackets at Nassau as it was so cool.

Here's a link to a site that recommends whether or not you need a wetsuit for diving. I think of it as whether or not the surface water is comfortable or not for swimming.

Personally I felt the water was too cold to enjoy the first week in April.
The kids were blue after snorkeling.

Our next trip was in July and the water was great but it was so hot and humid outside at all ports.

The next cruise started the last week in May -FABULOUS!! That's my vote!!

After Thanksgiving into late December (not Christmas, very expensive). It's beautiful while the ship is decorated for Christmas. Weather was great both times when we did it.
