We leave for the happiest place on earth in 13 days!! The weather in January will be iffy so I am thinking a lightweight waterproof jacket, preferably compact packable (to stick in bag when not in use), is a must. Any suggestions from ones you have used?

When we went in January 2014 (it was coooold!) I layered! I wore this jacket on the outermost layer, which is very easily stowed away but kept the wind out. I wore a North Face fleece under that and stayed pretty warm.

I have two Marmot rain jackets--one super light for running and one slightly heavier with a hood that I bought for Alaska. Both very packable.

I'd say something like this -> http://www.rei.com/product/859278/marmot-precip-rain-jacket-mens or this -> http://www.rei.com/product/844915/patagonia-torrentshell-rain-jacket-mens I've owned both, along with several others in the same vein, and they are a very versatile jacket. The 2.5 layer jackets will do a great job keeping you dry during periods where you aren't standing in the rain for hours, after a while you will feel wet, even though you won't actually be wet. But something like that will keep you dry if it rains, keep the wind off if it's windy, and help to keep your body heat in if it's cold. Packs down to about the size of a Harry Potter paperback (one of the earlier years) and can be layered with a good thin fleece base layer and possibly a vest and serve as your outerwear for pretty much anything over about 20 degrees.
