Best Epcot Restaurant for Dinner?

What is the general consensus? Is there a standout restaurant for dinner? I used to go to Epcot regularly but haven’t been in ages. It’s a mother/daughter trip in May and we love good food, but gotta admit we are suckers for an upscale or unique ambiance!
There used to be a fancy place in the France Pavillion that was upstairs, but I think that’s long gone. Thank you!

That fancy place still exists - Monsieur Paul. It is pretty expensive. Space220 has a pretty unique ambiance - the food is decent, but maybe not worth the price. I might recommend San Angel Inn for a nice dinner in a cool atmosphere (Mexico), or you could do my standby faves Garden Grill or Biergarten.

Wow! I’m going to look in Monsieur Paul. I haven’t kept up with the comings and goings of Epcot restaurants and for some reason thought it closed.
I am curious about Space220 also….
Thank you for your quick reply, BrianL, you gave me some places to start researching!

I agree with Brian on the San Angel recommendation; the ambiance in that restaurant is one of my favorites on property. We also love Spice Road Table. You can get seated near the water and the food is so good!

That’s on my radar too! I’ve dined there once in the early 2000s and it was great! So it’s still a good restaurant? That’s one of my issues with Disney restaurants… they can be so amazing but a few years later, notsomuch!😊

I had lunch at Space220 on my last trip. The atmosphere is...dare I say it?...out of this world! :duck:It' really cool in there! For lunch you get only the appetizer and entree, but I had the Buffalo style cauliflower - which was amazing - and the New York strip steak, which was decent, but not the best steak I've had at taht price point. Dinner is a bit more expensive, but comse with a desert. I would rate the food as good though, and if you want the atmosphere, then it's worth it.

The majority of Disney restaurants are pretty inconsistent tbh, I find. I tend to ignore reports of such and such place going downhill unless the consensus is overwhelming, and based on very recent experiences. Even then it doesn't necessarily mean you'll have the same experience. To hear everyone tell it 'Ohana is trash now and we've had nothing but excellent meals there. So I tend to just go by menus and YT reviews--something about being able to actually see the food helps me a lot more than subjective talk.

I have heard very good things about Shiki Sai and plan on checking it out on our May trip. But in general we tend not to do a ton of TS at Epcot just because there's always a festival when we go and we prefer snacking around booths.

Le Cellier seems to have gone a bit downhill as of our last visit in August 2024. Previously, I would have agreed that it's my top choice, but the filet has shrunk, wasn't that good overall and DH was seriously disappointed. It's still a fun restaurant though and I personally would eat there again. My mom just had dinner at Tutto Italia last night and she said it was really good. Space 220 looks great too if you can get a ressie! (never been)

Shiki Sai might be a good high-end pick. I am always forgetting that it exists.

I was at Epcot the day it officially opened and had a reservation even but it was my arrival day and I was just way too tired so I ended up canceling. We're doing it for dinner at the end of our first full day because we like to watch fireworks from upstairs in Japan anyway so it works out really well for us. I'm not a seafood eater but I like that there's non-seafood options that look really good too so gf can get her sushi fix.
