B2B taking wine onboard

Hi there

We are thinking of doing our first back to back since the alcohol policy change, it’s from PC.

We don’t really want to go off the ship/leave the port on changeover day and wonder if we take 2 bottles of wine each for the first embarkation and then hand in 2 bottles of wine each to confiscation, will we be able to pick up the wine on disembarkation morning from confiscation reclaim to use for the next cruise? TIA

Yes, you can pick up your "excess" wine at a table in the atrium on the disembarkation morning from the first cruise. You still need to leave the ship briefly on that changeover day, but there wouldn't be any need for you to leave the port terminal that day.

Thanks! Was just worried the wine may be kept until the final disembarkation day.

Excellent ... we knew we’d have to go off briefly, but don’t fancy getting a taxi to a liquor store that day, so we’ll be organised in advance

You may not have a car at the port but I have heard of people leaving the cruise 2 wine in their car and just going out to get it on turn around day.

That's a brilliant idea!

If you leave the terminal, even to go to the parking deck for an item, you will not be readmitted to the terminal until the port opens to guests. You will be held outside until that time. For Back to Back cruisers when you exit customs, you are on the bottom level and exit near the escalator up to the top. You simply let the guards know you are a Back to Back cruiser and you are welcomed back upstairs to check in for the second cruise. If you leave that area, they will not let you in.
