Looking to find a beach in Aruba where I can rent/reserve at least chairs w/ an umbrella. I see De Palm as a DCL excursion but as Silvers, not sure we will be able to get it, but I have looked on their website and see I can book direct, so that’s an option. But I’m just not sure that I can justify that kind of money. Wondering if anyone has any experience in Aruba finding a beach with chairs and an umbrella without De Palm price or if that price is fairly consistent throughout the island. I have looked at Resort for a day and they appear to have a resort that we could justify a little more for what works for us and our idea of the value of our money. Just wanting to see if anyone has advice to share or if anyone has an experience with De Palm that does justify the price.

Just for reference, an umbrella/cabana/something that provides shade is a must because I am very fair skinned and need respite from the sun. And please no snarky responses, I do realize I’m not the only fair skinned person trying to cruise in the Caribbean.

We went to Palm Island a few years ago... it was definitely a lot of fun, but if you are just looking for a beach and don't care about the zip line, waterslides, food, etc., you should probably just take a cab to the beach. I think my expectations were really high and it wasn't all that.

That is what I am thinking too! Thanks!!

We stayed local to Baby Beach in Aruba 2 years ago. I'm not sure how far it is from the port - maybe a 20 minute ride. They do have chairs and tiki huts for rent, and a couple of decent restaurants on site. Also the water is gorgeous and very calm.

We always stay at the Marriott’s on Palm Beach … which is a gorgeous beach. There are several hotels that line the beach, however I am not sure what their rental policies are for non guests.

We spent a wonderful afternoon at Arashi Beach. It was nothing fancy, but beautiful sand and water (larger rocks in the water). We sat in front of the Arashi Beach Shack and rented some chairs and an umbrella for like $50.00, I think. The shack was good for drinks and snacks and it was not that crowded. We had booked a sea bobbing excursion that took us there and we spent some extra time just enjoying the beach.
