Does any one know of any discounts on tickets to the Lion King, playing at the Opera House in Boston? I am a AAA member and a Disney Visa holder as well as an annual passholder. DH is an AARP member. The tickets seem hideously expensive for a family of four. Would like to take DS for his 10th Bday in September. Thank you!

No discounts that I know of but with the Disney Visa we were able to get advance sales on the tickets. It was months ago and I was able to get front row, center, first balcony for a couple of different nights. (different family's).
No discounts but great seats.
Can't wait to go in a few weeks.

If you can go this weekend, you might find a deal on www.cityofboston.gov. Mayor Mennino is trying to get people back into the city after the horrendous DNC drove everyone away. I know some shows are included, and some are offering 50% discounts. Not sure about Lion King though.

Lion King wasn't listed as one of the discounted plays for this weekend.

I saw it in Pittsburgh in January, it's a great show. We did get advance seating with the Disney Visa, we ended up in the third row! No discounts though. It is very pricey but when you see all that's involved in the production, you will know why.

Are tickets already on sale? I know in Pittsburgh, most of the shows sold out early (it was here for 6 weeks), it was a much sought after ticket.
