Another reallocating points question

We have a trip booked at AKV in November using mostly banked 2020 points and some 2021 points. I'm not sure we will want to actually take the trip. We may prefer to go to our favorite place on earth--HHI. In March, I can book an October HHI trip using our AKV points. All I have left to use is 2021 points. If I book it that way and then end up cancelling the AKV, can I call and have the banked points applied to the HHI trip?

No need to call. Once you cancel your AKV trip, simple go to your HHI reservation, select modify and rebook without changing any on the dates. Points will be reused using in the following order: Holding, Banked, Borrowed, Current year.

We did this multiple times this year as we reboooked due to Covid changes.
