Different TAs offer different perks. If they offer anything at all. You'll have to do your own leg work to find what various TAs will offer.

I don't want to state other Travel Agencies (and am a proud and loyal Dreams client!) but I will say that every onboard ship credit incentive I have seen for DCL has been the same or lower at any other TA. In fact, I think I only ever saw one other TA that matches Dreams, but I would rather go with our "home team sponsor" and support the Disboards and the content they put out on YouTube.

Now, there may be others that do have better incentives, but I looked pretty heavily at FL based TAs. Hope this helps!

We found our agent via a monthly newsletter that I subscribe to, and it is different than the sponsor here(so I will not advertise). I found her long before I knew about disboards and she has booked a couple theme park vacations as well as a few cruises.

I have no idea if this shipboard credits are the same, but I think once you find a responsive agent that does well for you, you might just stay there regardless. I don’t use a travel agent for anything besides Disney, and most of the time I book theme park trips on my own. This last theme park one I had her book even though it didn’t get me anything special because I knew she would get some benefit out of it.

(EDIT - I just checked any my agent has the same credit amounts as Dreams Unlimited, but Dreams is offering a gift basket too.)

Of course not. Some agents offer more. Some offer less. Even at the same agency, different agent offer different amount of onboard credits. If you are just look for the best price. There is a website called cruisecompete where you just fill out your request and agents will send you quotes showing what discount or onboard credits they can offer. And you can choose to contact the one suits you the best. From my experience, there are agents offer great discounts or obc about 10% of total cruise cost with direct bookings. But these agents don't know Disney Cruise well as I do. So I have to do a lot of the research myself which I actually really enjoy. So you may choose between agents who offer great discount but can't give you great advice on disney cruising and agents offer less obc but know Disney very well and give you tips of every step of your trip. I will choose the discount since I enjoy planning the trip myself.

Costco probably gives the biggest incentive, in the form of a Costco Cash card worth around 8% of your cruise cost (additional for Executive members). However, the level of service you'll get from a Costco representative generally pales in comparison to what you'll get from any other travel agent. And obviously, not useful if you don't shop at Costco!

Mentioning it is fine, soliciting/driving people away entirely is not. The cruise meet board is different however; the entire point there is to host a group here so we do remove posts redirecting to specific other groups on Facebook if it is noticed.

^^for further clarity when you mention specific websites like cruise complete we check to make sure the link isn't blocked. If it isn't, it's ok to share. If it is, then it would fall under the 'getting around the filters' rule and you might get points added if its done a bunch.

Costco gives 8.5% of the base cruise cost (doesn't include tax & port fees, or add-ons like transfers & excursions) back to customers in the form of a Costco Shop Card that you can use while shopping at Costco or buying gas at Costco. One nice thing about using Costco as your TA is that the benefits are the same whether you initially book via Costco, or if you book directly with Disney and then transfer your cruise to Costco within 30 days (most other TAs cut their perks if you don't book directly with them.) That allows you to book online first (especially useful at a high-demand time, such as during new itinerary releases), and then transfer the booked cruise to Costco to get the savings.

In addition, if you're an Executive Costco member you get an additional 2% back on top of the 8.5% that all members get. And if you use a Costco Visa card you get an additional 3% back. That really adds up, and that is in addition to any perk you might have separately received from Disney, such as the 10% discount for booking while on a previous cruise. I don't shop at Costco much, but I buy a lot of my gas there, and the Costco Shop Card I got from past cruises has allowed me to go months without paying for gas out of pocket.
