Thinking of getting resale deal... What are the chances of getting Gf, Poly or BLT for 14 nights in August of not your home resort?

Thanks

What size room? If you want a studio, Bay Lake Towers is your best bet at 7 months.

August is not really high demand time for DVC. Bookings. It's hot as hades and peak hurricane season.

Many studio dates still available for this August at 2 months out. In fact except for one day here or there were almost 14 days at Polynesian and Bay Lake. Nothing at GFV.

Of course there is no accurate way to predict availability for the future.

Your chances of getting 7 nights at one location and 7 at another are better.

Odds on VGF studios are always pretty bad at 7 months, let alone for 14 days at 7 months. Doesn't matter the season.

Hard to predict long term demand patterns at PVB, given that the resort is only 60% declared and all that.

Do you mean this August? Or August of future years? If you make an offer today, there's no way you're even a member by the end of this August.

If you mean this Aug, you will have no chance to get those or likely anything else, including because you have not even purchased yet and if you purchased resale today, you won't even be able to reserve anything until a few weeks after closing when you get your member number, meaning you are likely looking at late August even before you can call to make a reservation.

If you mean on an annual basis beginning with August 2017 if you purchased today, then be aware that Poly and BLT lake view villas, all room sizes, as well as VGF 1BRs, dedicated 2Brs, and Grand Villas, have usually been open for any time in August at 7 months out when owners of other resorts can first attempt to reserve them. VGF studios and BLT standard and theme park view villas are often difficult to get at 7 months out for August.

We have had good luck at BLT lake view 1 bedrooms at 7 months for august but looking for 14 nights is a stretch. If booking at 7 months you'll probably be needing to consider a split stay

though we could only book 7 days at a time - anything more would require another reservation?

You can only book 7 days up front, but can add days after that on a day-by-day basis, or can wait until 7 days later. I wouldn't do that booking at 7 months, as you'll already likely have holes booking monorail in many seasons as a non-home-resort booking.

You might think about a 7 night stay at a MK resort and a 7 night stay at BCV or BWV. Easy access to Epcot and DHS.
