We are passing through Orlando in late February and would like to go EPCOT or any other park one evening. I heard that EPCOT sells tickets at half price after 4pm. Is this true and if so, do any of the other parks do this as well?

1) There is a discounted rate for Florida Residents.
2) It is an annual pass for Epcot "After 4:00pm".
3) Meant to promote dining.
4) However,
. . . nothing for general public
. . . nothing for one-time visits

No ... it is not true.

If you are a FL resident, you can get a Florida Resident After 4 Annual Pass for Epcot, for about $160. If you're not a Florida Resident, the only way to get a half-day (usually sold as "After 2pm") pass to a park is to buy it through a convention package. Conventions on Disney property are usually offered partial-day passes as a ticket option.

If you're just a regular old non-Florida tourist passing through ... then no. There are no "half price" options for tickets at any of the parks. Sorry!

:earsboy:

Maybe if you offered to buy Rusty or Searcher a nice dinner?;)

OK thanks for the info, I appreciate your time. Is there anywhere close by that sells cheap tix for a one day trip to Hollywood studios or EPCOT?

The cheapest place to buy a 1 day ticket is at the gate.

Probably not unless you REALLY want to tour a timeshare with a high pressure sales pitch. I'd just rather pay full price.

You are probably right. One more question if you don't mind. Since every trip we have been there, we always just bought park hopper tix, I am not sure about something. If I buy 1 day base tix to go to hollywood studios and want to go back to the resort for lunch, can we go back to hollywood studios later in the day?

Yes you can. With a base ticket you can enter that one park as many times as you like on that day.

If you're willing to sit through time-share pitches, you can get cheap or free tickets.

Disney, funny enough, doesn't give free tickets with its time-share pitch...but they give FPs or something. And they never yell at you for not buying. :)

Disney does not discount one or two day tickets, even to authorized resellers. This includes The Disney Store, AAA, and the military. Any reseller that carries one or two day tickets does it as a convenience for their customers, and usually will charge a premium above Gate Price for the service.
