1/11/25-1/25/25: 2 weeks, 5 people, a million “it’s cold”s: our freezing but amazing trip

Yes, yes, yes! I always say this too, about the lottery. And I could sit on the balcony of whatever resort we’re at for hours. Especially AKL. I really wanted to stay there this trip but we wanted a studio this trip. I love AKL though.
My kids have told me if we win big in lotto, I can't be the person claiming our winnings. They're sure I will book one full year in WDW. Nope, I will come home for the summer, birthdays and major holidays!

It started out nice, we were enjoying the show, we had great seats and we were just happy to be there. All of a sudden Gabe said “I think I’m going to be sick”. Now, my family makes fun of me for the random things I pack in our park bag but at that moment we were all happy I had some large ziplock bags on me. We didn’t have time to leave the area before he started vomiting. We were able to sort of shield him as he quietly threw up into the ziplock bag so no one around us was aware of what was happening. When he was done he said he felt better so we decided to finish out the show. We watched a few more minutes and then all of a sudden the show went dark and a “technical difficulties” announcement was made. We took all of this as a sign to leave. Once we were out of the stadium area the show restarted, but we had seen enough and just wanted to go home.
I wish we had ziplocks the one time DS (9then now 16) had an issue in DCA... he created two separate messes for custodial before we could get back to the hotel and he felt so bad each time but they were so helpful. now when we hike with scouts I always have gallon ziplocks for keeping dirty things away from clean things and for cleaning cuts and scratches, etc.

Next was Tiana! I was excited to see the new stuff but really sad about losing Splash.
I’m glad we rode when we did because the rest of the trip after this was just too cold. The girls never rode it this trip and we only got to ride this one time.
glad you got to ride it, it was closed all day the 12th and we thought about going back the 13th, but it didn't open that day either

Ziplocks for the win! They’re great for so many different things. Gabe was so embarrassed and felt bad about everyone having to witness him get sick. If he didn’t have the bags I’m sure it would’ve been much worse. One CM saw him getting sick on the way to the bus in DHS and can’t over and asked if there was anyway he could help. CMs are the best! And as for Tiana, it’s a shame you didn’t get to ride. It was cute, but it’s lacking something that I just can’t put my finger on. Splash was so much better. We were so worried about not getting wet because it was chilly out, that it took away some of the fun. My daughters are upset that they never got to ride but I told them it’s their fault for skipping the park that day and laying around the room lol.
