    What's up with O'hana?

For us it was the worst meal and service. Waited around forever for food and most of the food was overcooked. We managed to convince our very picky friend to try shrimp...it was rubbery and she has yet to try shrimp ever again. The waitress was never easy to find and it seemed like a slow...

So How Do We Feel About the Changes to Be Our Guest?

We went to BOG in Feb 2014 and it was the best meal we had. Always scratched my head at those with really bad experience there but then again, we HATED 'Ohana and most love it so yeah...now for the fixed $55 price and change in menu, worth it. However, my friend and I prefer using DDP so now...

    Favorite resort in each category?

I may not be of much help as others but if you do value, I prefer Pop over the All-Stars. I've only ever stayed at either so I don't know about moderate and deluxe. We don't spend any time at the resort. Last time I went (5 years ago) we literally woke up, showered, ate and went to the parks...

    Planning European Vacation-help please!

We did London too. But again, we stayed far-ish from everything. Nice, large place, quiet street. Close to a college so the buses come like every 10-15 minutes which was nice. I think we only spent $80/night, split between the 3 of us. Closer to downtown it was about $120/night for anything...

Anyone reviewing their household budget for the new year??

Yeah I guess I wasn't clear there, sorry! He got a job but then 2 months later the company decided they didn't have the budget to keep him. By then the lawn care was off season so we don't need to worry about it until about April/May. Plus, we gave my brother our mower so he could do his lawn...

    Planning European Vacation-help please!

We did back in September. Just make sure you are in a central area and you'll be fine. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere (about 20 minute drive from Louvre...all b/c our friend wanted to save money... Yeah, just make sure you read all the details. Some ppl charge various fees...

Having a hard time staying excited after reading so many terrible reviews on here

Here's the problem: One group can have a great meal and experience but another doesn't. I run into so many people who love 'Ohana. We hated it. We loved BOG but there is a lot of hate for it. Stop reading reviews! Go, enjoy yourselves! Let your experience that day determine whether it was...

    Most over-rated restaurant?

Definitely 'Ohana. Worst food we had and the server, she was awful. She could have had a bad night so I won't hold that against her but the food, ugh. Everything was so overcooked. Never going there again. Funny enough, BOG was the best meal and server we had but it seems most here haven't...

    Planning European Vacation-help please!

We flew Delta PHL to LHR and had a checked bag each free, that was fine. The problem was to country hop, it was just like it is here, a checked bag is extra, at least all the flights we found to go jump from London to Paris to Amsterdam and back to London. That's why I plan on just flying out...

    Planning European Vacation-help please!

It wasn't a 'true' connection. Our flight from Philly to London was direct round-trip (or was suppose to be until they changed it with a stop in JFK coming home). Even our checked bag never would have made it to the US since it had end destination of London and not Philly. We had planned to...

Give up a park day for the pool... why?!

At most we'll do an afternoon or evening at the pool. We get park hopper so we can go back to a park when we are ready. We don't have kids so that helps. My parents have a pool so I have no problem skipping it while in WDW. However, it is awesome to be in the pool in Jan/Feb when it's...

When were you completely AWED by something at Disney?

Hands down the fireworks show in DLP. I love the fireworks in WDW but since we went to Paris this summer, I had us go to DLP. Half the songs are in French and it was just so cool! I cry every time I see Disney fireworks. Very close second is Be Our Guest. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite...

When were you left underwhelmed by something at Disney?

'Ohana! It was AWFUL! Everyone I tell says they had great food but nope...worst meal we had. Even the server was not that great, however, we could have caught her on an off night so...but the food...ugh. Never again. A cast member actually wasn't too surprised and recommended Kona Cafe...

Anyone reviewing their household budget for the new year??

We had to as DH lost his job in 2017 and I finished my associate's program and started the bachelors which is so much more money! Thankfully I make just enough to cover most of our bills and my car has been paid off for about 5 years and his will be paid off in March or May, can't remember. We...

    Planning European Vacation-help please!

Yeah we were suppose to land about 6:30-7 am but our flight was delayed (another reason we won't be flying Delta ever again). Instead we landed at 8 with hundreds of other people. It really sucked. Same thing going home-the earliest flight from Amsterdam to London had us landing at 8 am and...

    Planning European Vacation-help please!

We did 2 weeks hitting up London, Paris, and Amsterdam. My advice: avoid airports when you can! We HATED flying into London-Heathrow. We were in the line for immigration for over an hour and a half. And it was hot...I've been told Gatwick is a bit less crazy. My aunt and uncle just did...
