Anyone remember having this in the house growing up?

I’m pretty sure my mother had something similar. A subscription of recipe cards. It might have been Betty Crocker or maybe a competitor.

    Baltimore Key Bridge collapss

Harbor pilots would have been navigating at the time of the crash. Yes, it appears the ship lost power twice but they were far from the channel under the middle of the bridge. I’m curious why the ship was so close to the supports.

    Easter Dinner

I made a Bunny Butt Cake a few years ago. Same oval shape except for ears you use a Hostess coconut covered snack cake for its tail instead. It looks like the bunny is burrowing into the ground.

Family Tree Difficulties--When Women Didn't Matter (slight rant)

I kept my birth name both times I got married. After my first marriage in 1987 about half the official and even personal mail I received was addressed to me as Mrs. ExHusband’s last name. Sometimes I was even Mrs. His FIRST and last names. Even in the late 80s some companies/official sources...

Family Tree Difficulties--When Women Didn't Matter (slight rant)

The church where I grew up celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1972 and published a commemorative book. Every photo of married women is identified as Mrs. Husband’s name. And I remember my mother’s Charge Cards for department stores embossed with Mrs. Father’s name. That’s how she had to...

    Easter Dinner

Family has decided they don’t want ham, turkey, or anything “traditional.” So I’m making baked ziti, maybe with a side of meatballs or sausage.

    What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Friday during Lent. I’m making tilapia, baked with chopped tomatoes and garlic with a side of sautéed asparagus. Fish on Fridays during Lent is probably the only vestige of my Catholic upbringing.

Songs with the word don't etc

Did I ask you for your love? Did I ask you for your dedication? I don't want, I don't want your love I don't want, I don't want your affection But I've got to have the car (I need it for the weekend) I've got to have the stereo (And a couple of deletions) I've got to have the freezer (Put some...

Songs with the word don't etc

But I don't care if you don't And I don't feel if you don't And I don't want it if you don't And I won't say it, if you won't say it first

Pay to use the rest room?

Sure, I remember pay toilets well into the early 80s. On the Boardwalk, in department stores, etc. Most were the dime in the door slot, a few had an attendant to pay at the entrance.
