The offer is out...CSR here we come, or maybe not?!?

I wrote my reply (to another poster in this thread) about Poly standards not being available. I have since been on to Disney again (charged two deposits for one holiday) and when chatting to that cast member she told me to check back regularly as Disney release rooms periodically. I'm not...

What do you like at Boathouse? Dislike?

I second the sliders, so yummy! We visited in December many times and always sat outside overlooking the water and watching the amphicars. Our last visit was in August so we sat inside with much-needed air con, not quite the same. We had a bad experience with the server, but only once out of...

    Why Walk

I haven't been to the parks for rope drop where you get to choose, there are always cast members directing all the traffic on one singular course.

    Floats in the pool?

We've used one at the quiet pool at OKW and no-one stopped us. There was a staff member tidying up and we were ready to remove it but he didn't say anything. No one else was in the pool with us, or we would have removed it, or asked them if it was okay. I guess it's about respecting others if...

Christmas Eve and day dinner recommendations

We went for many Christmas holidays and always ate at GFC on Christmas Eve and Narcoosees on Christmas day. Nothing says Christmas in Disney to us like the gingerbread house smell and watching the lighting up of the castle from your dinner table (at Narcoosees) 🎅

    Dining plan split stay

OP excuse me for hijacking your thread but wanted to ask HairyChest a question if possible. We have free dining plan with our frist resort (8 night POR) but not on our second resort on rented DVC (5 nights Poly). I had planned to use the last of the dining credits in the evening of POR check out...

    Dining plan split stay

Excuse me if I understood you wrong, but you don't get the DDP credits added to your account until you check in to each resort and the credits from each individual booking expire at midnight on the day you check out. In theory you can use the first reservation's credit for dinner on check out...

    Annual pass from UK

I would investigate the pass as there are days you cannot enter on certain passes, so if you're going over special/school (US) holidays etc you may find there are blockout days. Unless of course you splurge for the most expensive. I wouĺd check out the threads on here for a blockout day annual...

Everything Early Theme Park Entry (ETPE) - Please Read Post 1

I haven't had a problem visiting resorts in our hire car without an ADR in the early evenings. I can understand why in the mornings at the resorts near parks though.

    POFQ - first time visitor!

I have always thought that about the bungalows at Poly! In late December we'd be on that boat at 7am, all that money and no chance of a lie in with the boat horns blowing 😂

Favorite restaurants on the Monorail loop?

Narcoosees for me. Had Christmas day evening meal there for many years so has an emotional hold on me 😍

    POFQ - first time visitor!

Without a balcony I cannot see the point of paying for a nicer view. We have booked POR for next year, but just the standard room for this reason. I guess preferred rooms are closer to the action, which may be worth paying extra for some. Not once when at resorts without a balcony did we stand...

    Disney World Hot Takes

One man's trash is another man's treasure, as they say. It's just not for us.

    Disney Dinning UK stylie

Two, one adult and one 17 year old. It was £1038 on top for tickets, then £200 off total (part of offer). Total cost £3055

    Disney Dinning UK stylie

I priced up 8 nights at POR for August 2025 in February this year and it was £2249. I booked on 18th April with free QS dining plan and the cost was £2217, not always a con. The only downside is we're doing a split stay and it's only available on the first booking the park tickets are attached...

Question about Dining Before/After Park Hours

We used to book an 8am Crystal Palace breakfast on days when MK opened at 9am (back in the day when only one park at a time opened early). We have some amazing photos of us on an empty Main St 😍

So much Disney food is terrible

There are plenty of good food places in Disney IMHO. Maybe the QS is not gourmet food exactly, but plenty of those would beat McDonalds hands down. We visit for 2 weeks and never tire of the food and snacks at WDW, my only concern is my waistline 🤣

    Polite Pig Dining Plan Question.

I wondered if the shakes are included in the QS meal plan, as it specifically says on the DDP information that it includes shakes, but do they mean here I wonder? If so, we'll be getting 2 burgers and 2 shakes with the QS dining plan, and use one snack credit to share some fries. Edited to...

    Pizza Pickup

I read it was possible in food courts e.g. Riverside Mill, where the large pizza is priced at $21.99. I'm sure it's similar at most food courts which sell those larger sized whole pizzas.

In Praise of Quieter Restaurants —help me with the list!

Here's my input to the quiet places: Narcoosees's first sitting at dinner, we always find it very quiet and relaxing. Sci-Fi, again an early lunch sitting, but mainly because nearly everyone's watching the 'movies and adverts' rather than chatting. Cosmic Rays - in my experience there are...
