Universal is offering Canadian residents a 2 day 3 park Park to Park with 3 days free promo- when booking direct it is offering EP on the 2 parks for an additional $200 USD pp for the 5 days. Since we are a family of three we came out ahead at Cabana Bay. I can imagine if we had a larger family...

    Universal newbie needing advice

I just booked our trip and unfortunately couldn't use our agent. Universal was offering a 2 day 3 Park Park to Park plus 3 day free promo. The only way I could get the 2 day 3 park park to park plus 3 day with EXPRESS PASS was to book it Universal directly. We are a fam of 3 and while it would...

First Timer Must Dos? Lanyard, Backpack, Locker etc..

Hey! We booked today for 5 nights. We will be staying at Cabana Bay, will have Park to Park and Express Pass and do plan to do all three parks. Are lanyards a must have? Is it better to skip bringing a backpack in? It sounds like fanny packs are acceptable? Any pro tips would be so amazing. We...

    June 16-21 Express Pass?

We are long time Disney goers but this is our first trip to Universal. We are planning to stay onsite at Cabana Bay for the length of the trip. Pricing out inclusions of tickets with express unlimited still comes in cheaper than staying at a Deluxe hotel. We will have 5 days of tix. Right now we...

WestJet World Elite MasterCard Cost Savings

We just booked our first flights to MCO after getting our WJ Mastercard. With the $250 WJ dollars added to my account, plus the companion fare, we came out about $400 ahead than we would have booking on another airline. In saying that, without the $250 WJ dollars, it wouldn't have been as...

    RCI points to DVC

My weeks are converted into a set amount of points and everything is available by points. You are right that they are different, essentially the points platform should see everything I would multiplied by 1000. My understanding is that in RCI world Points is the superior membership, I would hope...

    RCI points to DVC

I have only been seeing SSR, OKW and Boardwalk popping up. We were once lucky enough to snag a 1 bed at BLT through RCI as well on an ongoing. We generally travel between fall and early December and the point requirement is around 40. RCI has increased their point requirement in recent months...

Be sure to call the front desk, they have always been very accommodating at SSR

    MDE and Friends and Family

Our friends are on our account and vice versa. When we travel together we are able to choose all of us or some of us for dining and FP+. We can see where everyone is headed each days and make plans. When we travel without them, it does not affect our account at all. We have had them on their for...

    Mickeys Christmas Party

@mumsy1955 we loved the Christmas Party so much! We caught the early parade, then fireworks and then rode rides for the rest of the night!

Magic Kingdom What Would You Do Question?

I agree with @only hope - most people don't leave the park until 6 pm on party nights. I would make the most of a low crowd day and then head over to the Floridian, Contemporary or Poly to view the fireworks

    Dining Off Plan

Hi there! This is the first year we are not purchasing a dining plan. We are staying in a 1 bed villa and always do breakfast in the room. Does any one know of any coupons or programs available for Disney Springs restaurants? We will not have a car so plan to stay on site for dining. Thanks!

Strategies for a last minute visit

When to check in? Why check in early?

We have always done online check in. We often arrive into Orlando around 1030 am and have never once waited for our room to be ready. We are also simply handed our documents and don't even have to provide a credit card. I believe early check in will help them prepare for your arrival.

SSR Lovers and Owners Part 3

Hey there! We trade in with RCI and always make requests. We like The Paddock though so am unsure if you wanted something in preferred. We call the resort directly with our request and also add a note when we do online check in. https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps

Blacklisting those who didn't buy direct through Disney

We call ahead to the resort directly 10 days in advance of arrival and give 8-10 room number requests. The cast member who answers is always quite lovely and we always mention that we understand it is just a request when we call and that we understand it may not happen. We have always been quite...
