Who's Rebooking Canceled Trips For July & August?

We are in Canada and booked our package through West Jet. We changed our dates to August 4-11 with no penalty. They just simply switched the dates for us :) Hopefully things will have calmed down by then.

Brief park report from today - Sunday, March 15.

I'm with others who have had to cancel their trip. I was really disappointed, but this made me happy :) It was funny, and I legit believed it until you jumped the Main Street gates, lol! I was all "Ok, so this guy kinda lives under a rock or something... seems credible..".

7 year old with autism and mobility issues...

I can... It's just that we are flying from BC and taking a Karmel Shuttle, etc etc and It is really so big and annoying, lol, I'm trying to find alternate solutions to bringing it. But it seems like bringing it may be the. best option.

7 year old with autism and mobility issues...

Hello families with children with autism, My daughter has limited mobility and spends a lot of time in her custom stroller. She can walk, but tires easily and has trouble on transitions/stairs/uneven surfaces. She is 7 and her custom stroller is HUGE and also very expensive, so I can't exactly...

Where to get some good breakfast?

Carnation cafe is my all time favourite inside the park. It is a must do for me... usually on the last day of our trip because the first few days I never want to waste valuable park time sitting down eating Mickey waffles. But, oh! The Mickey waffles! They are so good! And I love the ambiance of...

Do I really need a reservation for Ballast or Black Tap?

Interesting! I watched a dining review today and she recommenced reservations for both as they get quite busy, and on the website it says to call the dining number for reservations? Where do you see they don't offer reservations?

Do I really need a reservation for Ballast or Black Tap?

Hello fellow craft beef lovers! Ballast and Black Tap look like the exact kind of places my husband and I LOVE :) We would love to try both of them. Because we are with our two kiddos (who will be 6 and 8) in March, and we eat pretty early (around 4:30 or so)... how much do I need to have...

Best spots to relax with a churro in both parks

I agree about each area being treat specific! I have 10am churro and coffee time every day in the park. As soon as the carts come out around 10am I'm the first in line, wherever we are. So I find any place to enjoy, often in line for the next ride. Waiting for Fantasmic! is cotton candy time for...

When do you NOT need Maxpass? Please help with planning families first trip!

We are a family of 4 with a daughter with disabilities. We only get Maxpass for my husband and my son (8). They are the only ones who really "use" it to it's max potential. I say go and spend a day or two without it. If you have a kid who is super into the big ticket rides and may want to take...

    Big Thunder Down Next Week

    Booking a trip

On the off chance you are Canadian (which you didn't say in your post, but just in case) I always book with Westjet Vacations. It is a waaaaaaay better deal than anything I can do separately. I have tried and tried with Expedia etc to try to book everything separately and Westjet is always the...

    Big Thunder Down Next Week

Wah! So sad. I was hoping that by going in the summer there wouldn't be any big stuff down. Looks like I was wrong. Too bad. It is my husband's fave and I know he was looking forward to sharing it with the kiddos.

When Does a DL Trip Become "Real" For You?

Gah, this is a good question. I think it feels real when we see the Matterhorn poking up over the fence... but, like PP, I cry when I read the plaque over the entrance tunnels. So it feels 'real' before that... but it really hits me when I read that plaque. I cry so bad. I really wish they would...

    Pre-trip movie watching?

OMG! I had this movie as a kid! I LOVED it! I forgot about it! Now I have to find a copy.

    Sell me on Max Pass.....

OK, cool. That helps. So there is a bit of flexibility in who uses the fast passes. I like that. It was that way before, with the traditional fast pass system and it was helpful to be able to use someone else's if they weren't going to use it. (It was always the best when a group eating dinner...
