Harmony Barber Shop walk-in appointments available?

Has anyone been able to get a walk-in haircut for their little one at Harmony Barber Shop recently? We booked a last minute trip for the end of August and I check the website daily to see if there are any openings with no luck so far. Is it worth it to stop in the barber shop and check on...

    Disney Gold Annual Pass questions

Hi DVC Friends, My family is going down to WDW in November 2020 for an 8 day trip. Then my husband and I are planning to go down for a 4-5 day trip during Marathon weekend. Can we purchase the Gold Annual Pass for just my husband and I and leave the kids' and MIL's tickets as MYW? Just an...

    Grocery Help

I did choose the drop off time at the end of the order. I did this in June 2018 so I'm not sure if that has changed. I placed the order around 7 pm and I choose a drop off time for around 1 pm the following day.

    Grocery Help

I also second Amazon Prime Now. I ordered it the day before my trip and it included food, drinks, and a few regular items that I forgot to pick up before we left. I was able to select the drop off time and it was held at Bell Services until I called to have it brought to the room. The price...

Disney Dining Plan 2020 - are some restaurants no longer accepted?

My husband and I are tossing around the idea to use the Disney Dining Plan for the first time for our upcoming November 2020 trip. When looking at menus tonight, it appeared that a lot of restaurants are no longer participating for 2020 (Homecomin', Enzo's Hideaway, Maria & Enzo's, Morimoto...

Sell me on which is the better Princess Character Meal - CRT or Akershus?

I know that I am in the minority here but I liked Akershus better. We went for breakfast to Akershus and dinner at CRT. The breakfast at Akershus was a combination of buffet and family style and had A LOT of options for my picky eaters. The buffet part was helpful for my kids who need to move...

Best restaurants for kids visiting WDW for first time

We really like 'Ohana for breakfast with Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto outside. The food is good, the Polynesian is such a great atmosphere, and nothing beats seeing Mickey.

As a DVC Member, which resort is your favorite...And Why?

We have stayed at BLT, AKV Jambo, Boulder Ridge, and the Polynesian. I loved all of them for different reasons but the Poly is my favorite so far. The restaurants, location, fireworks, pools, rooms, theming, and transportation options were all positives for us. I could stay there every time...

Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

I just returned from a trip, 6/24-7/1, at the Poly and it was incredible! I am hooked! The theming, location of the rooms, transportation options, food options, and pools all made it a great resort choice. Being able to see the MK fireworks from our resort was also really nice. If anyone is...

Ample Hills vs. Beaches and Creams?

I just got back from a Disney trip and we ate at Beaches and Cream and enjoyed ice cream there. I ordered the No Way Jose sundae and it was amazing! It was definitely worth it and I am salivating just thinking about it now. I have never had Ample Hills so I can't talk specifically about their...

Is AKL a resort that you could spend a lot of time at if not going to parks?

There is a safari at AKL that is available to anyone that takes place in the afternoon and includes dinner at Jiko. It sounds amazing but is very expensive. It's called the Wanyama Safari and Dinner.

    Arrival night suggestion ?

Although we loved the food at Boma, I would not consider it a good option to sit and catch up. It was very chaotic and crowded when we went and with everyone getting up constantly to get food it was not great for relaxed, continuous dinner conversation. I would do Jiko and get an appetizer...

Where should I eat in Magic Kingdom?

Although we haven't been there in 2 years, we really like The Plaza Restaurant for lunch. It has simple food and kids and adults all found something to enjoy. I hear that reservations are required for only a couple of hours in the afternoon now and the rest of the day is walk-up.

Just for my husband and I

I would try the Tutto Gusto wine cellar in the Italy Pavilion. With the intimate setting, no reservations, and the small plates and wine flights, it sounds perfect!

    Which is better?

Looks like I am in the minority here. We prefer Akershus over CRT mainly due to the price. Our food at both places was good (we had dinner at CRT and breakfast at Akershus) and the princess interactions were both very good. We felt that once we were inside the castle at CRT it was nice but...

If you could only do *1* character meal

We liked Akershus for breakfast on our last visit. There were so many princesses and they had a parade throughout the restaurant that your little ones can take part in. Also, for breakfast they have a buffet with cold items (fruit, yogurt, cheese, salami, pastries) and then they brought out...

    Garden Grill or Ohana

Ohana is a must do for us as well. All of the courses are soooo good and the overall experience was great! My kids loved their mac and cheese, brownies, and coconut races. The adults loved all of the regular options and the ambiance of the restaurant. The bread pudding is amazing and this...
