Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Hi All! I have a what would you do question... We arrive at BC on Saturday, and we have booked an adjoining room with my daughter and her husband. A week ago, when discussing the "don't forget" list, I mentioned the luggage tags to my daughter. As you can probably guess where this is going...

What are your favorite souvenirs from Disney?

The sample size lotions from the hotel bathroom for my desk at work. There is nothing like being transported back to the happy place when you are having a crappy day :)

2014/2015 Beach and Yacht Club FAQ, Friends & Fun, Sept 2014-Mayl 2015

Has anyone seen the "How to get the Disney World Resort Room You Want" article on WDW prep school? I liked the way they put what type of room request makes sense in a graphic view. Here's a link in case anyone is interested...

    Park hopper worth it?

This is what we find. We go in August, so it's just too hot to stay in the park in the afternoon. We usually do rope-drop, stay until just after lunch and then go back to the resort. When my daughter was really young, it was time for her to nap in the cool air-conditioned hotel room. Now she's...

Disney's Online ADR System is @#$%^ Again

and the on line booking issue continues this morning.... on-hold now for a CM and hope I am as lucky as all of you have been. It was so frustrating to see the times I wanted for BOG pop up, and then not be allowed to book it!

Congrats on the BSN! HaPpY DaNcE!!!! I am starting back (again) for my MSN *sigh* -- going for the PNP. I will land the day you leave. My trip is scheduled to be a celebration since I will have no life for the next two years... Oh Nursing.... lol

BOG dinner availability once lunch reservations begin on 2/25

I am assuming that the reservations will open at 6AM EST.

BOG dinner availability once lunch reservations begin on 2/25

My understanding is yes. However, instead of booking by use of FastPass+, you will book as a dining reservation for quick service lunch. I am wondering if this will yield a greater availability of reservations during dinner.

BOG dinner availability once lunch reservations begin on 2/25

Hey All, Any bets on BOG dinner reservation availability once lunch reservations begin on 2/25? I am wondering if the ability to book as a reservation for a quick service meal will have any effect on availability for a dinner reservation. Here's to hoping, anyhow...

Hoop Dee Do or Backyard BBQ

BYBBQ was probably the only experience in our many trips that we can all say we hated. The Dance party with characters is a free-for-all with kids pushing each other to get to the characters. CMs ask parents to not block the dance floor, but instead of getting up, getting a quick shot with the...

2014/2015 Beach and Yacht Club FAQ, Friends & Fun, Sept 2014-Mayl 2015

Hi! We (DH, DD12, and I) have just booked at BC in a standard room for 8/22-8/30. We are traveling with our adult daughter and her husband. It is everyone's 1st trip to BC. It has been on the bucket list for quite a while, and we are so excited!!! Does anyone have advice of whether we should do...

Contemporary or Port Orleans? Is it worth it?

Check out of resort #1 in the AM prior to heading to the park for the day. Leave your bags with bell service -- they take care of everything. For us, we arrived at resort #2 around 2pm, and our room was ready with our bags in it. There was no problem with FastPass, ADRs, etc. Only thing to be...

Contemporary or Port Orleans? Is it worth it?

Just a thought -- A split stay isn't so bad, and it can shave off a little $$ for the budget. My family did a split stay between these resorts in 2013. We started at POR in a Royal Room for 4 days, and switched to CR for the next 4. We booked a Garden View room, but with the help of a little...

    Akershus or Cinderella's Table?

We have done Akershus for breakfast and dinner, and we have done CRT for breakfast. I prefer Akershus for many of the reasons previous posters have stated above. HOWEVER.... I just asked my now 12 year old daughter (at-home courtesy of yet another snow day) who was heavily into all things...

    Questions about Swan

    1. No. You can rent a car, do the Mears shuttle, or use a private car service. I've used Happy Limo with good luck. You will have the use of the Disney transportation while on-site, though. 2. No. You are staying at a non-Disney resort that resides on Disney property. You will, however, get the...
