Help Needed: 1st timer to London

We use Premier Inns a lot, there are several in London in various convenient places. The rooms are reasonably sized, clean and safe. Taking in to account that nothing is cheap in London, they are also reasonably priced. Can recommend a walk along the Thames, visit the Tower of London, London Eye...

Any experience using BA flights into/out of Tampa

We did similar in Feb this year, flew in to Tampa, but out of Fort Lauderdale (as had cruised out of Miami). Tampa airport much quicker to get through than MCO and very easy car pickup. Loved Tampa and Clearwater Beach.

    Other fun things to do...

We visited De Leon Springs and Rock Springs on our non park days - both great fun, take a swimsuit! Also Showcase of Citrus. Kennedy Space Centre is excellent, but a bit of a drive.

Disney Experts UK - I need you!

We’ve stayed in AKL booked through the UK site including free dining before (in Feb, not in a holiday period). The current offer on the UK site ends tonight, so maybe free dining comes next? You do usually need to stay at least 5 nights, to get the free dining. We’ve never used an agent, just...

How does Royal compare with Disney

Having just finished an amazing week on the Symphony of the Seas, my DS (12) has no interest in cruising with DCL again!!

    Mouse keeping

Yes, we charged all tips / purchases etc to our magic bands and the credit was offset against this. We didn't have to do anything.

    Mouse keeping

We got this at POFQ in Feb. It was offered at check in and was $10 per night. It was given as a credit to our account so could be used for anything we paid for!

One way car rental to PC

We've rented from car care centre before and it was very straight forward. Booked a shuttle to pick up from the resort to CCC, it took less than an hour to get car and get back to resort. Booked the shuttle through reception in the resort the dat before we needed it.

Fort Lauderdale - Port Everglade car rental to WDW

We did the reverse in Feb, collected from WDW dropped off at Port Everglades for cruise, then on return collected from PE returned to MCO. Booked with Alamo, but through UK site! About £45 a day for intermediate size car.

Best way to Miami from MCO

When we cruised from Miami after a WDW stay we drove to a hotel about an hour's drive from Miami and then just drove the last bit the following morning. The hotel was cheaper being out of Miami and we had a relaxed drive the following day dropping the car at the airport before getting the...

    Upgrading DDP after booking?

We only go for a week, but have always upgraded our free QSDP to the DDP as we like to take the time out in the day to sit and eat a nice meal. 3 weeks is a lot of meals, but you could do some character dining, signature meals etc. It does make a nice break in the day and some places are very...

Please help with Disney Cruise choices

We always go Feb half term, combining 5/6 nights at WDW with a 7/8 night cruise (not DCL for the last 3 years). We take DS out of school for the week after half term - it's too far to go for just 1 week!

    Alcohol ID

Just back from WDW. Had alcohol from both QS and TS venues with DDP, was never asked for ID. We are obviously over the age limit (early 50's) but nowhere we went was checking ID for everyone. I had my driving license with me in case, passport stayed in the safe!

    Virgin Atlantic flight time change

Would stick with later flight too - we like to have a relaxed last day then to the airport in plenty of time to queue for security, then we have a proper meal at Outback Steakhouse before boarding.

    BA or Virgin

Would go with BA if much cheaper. If not much difference, then would choose Virgin and try and get in the bubble if the right type of plane! We only fly economy though and want seats in 3's!

    Disney Dining Restaurants PDF

There are a lot that take it not on the PDF. If you pick what you want then go through the Disney dining search, the same pages that allows you to see menus and book also shows if they take the DP. If you click on it, it shows what type & how many credits etc.

    flight booking time

Agree with the above, in the past we have booked in July for Feb, but this time it was earlier as the price was lower than for several years plus it was allowing us to put miles towards it which was a first. If you want bubble seats you will need to pay to book those as soon as you book the...

Recent flight prices London to mco

We travel in Feb, but I actually paid less for 3 of us for 2018 than I did in 2012. Paid around £1300 for 3 of us - 2 adults, 1 child with Virgin. We have no flexibility on days and always fly direct.

    Going on a Cruise

We cruised 5 times with DCL before looking elsewhere due to price and the same ports over and over (we are very restricted with dates so have to take whatever itinerary is available). Have tried NCL Getaway and Carnival Magic so far & are booked onto RC Freedom OTS in Feb. Wouldn't cruise NCL...

Signing up for Jedi training- how difficult is it?

We have signed up the last 2 visits, rope dropped the park (a bit before opening, but not silly early). First time it was a long wait, probably over 45 mins, the second time moved much quicker. On both occasions have had plenty of choice of training times to fit around FP and ADR. Glad DS has...
