Ride differences between DL and WDW

Managed to do both WDW and DL within 60 days this year. I was at DL in October as well. I tell folks these are just two different experiences. It's hard to even compate WDW Toy Story Mania - vehicles feel in better shape (DCA vehicle was essentially not functioning) Tower of Terror - still...

I would stay at SSR again over BW. I have now done two stays at BW and each time I came across as underwhelmed besides the location.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Went two weekends ago to celebrate our 30th anniversary with my kids and son-in-law. We had a blast and really amazing experiences. Sunday night we were leaving HS, and I realized I had lost the key to our rental car. Last time I could remember it I had put in the pocket on Rise. My kids and...

    Saratoga Springs

We have owned at SSR since 2015. It is one of best places to simply unplug. Love the quiet, relaxed vibe. As someone who suffers from parkitis at WDW, SSR helps me to slow down.

Does anyone else hate they keep going back to the same restaurants?

We cycle - and our kids are now adults and more menu adventurous. Kona was a family staple, we ate there twice 12 years ago. But the menu changed, and we have not eaten there in years. Sanaa - my youngest hated it as a young teen, and now he liked it more. Morimoto's is the one we have kept...

They do - I was maybe 70 yards from the elevator to the pool. Not open early and they closed when the guards had to clear the pool deck.

SSR Lovers and Owners Part 3

Just rolled back tonight from Paddock 2 bedroom 5327. Right by the elevator, and the pool. We loved sitting by the pool and enjoying the bar. And a short walk over the bridge if we needed to hit the lobby area. The room had been re-done and was in great shape. We had not stayed at our home...

    The Running Thread—2023

The numbers are in Running 870 miles for the year; compared to 991 in 2022. Biking 2874 compared to 3400 in 2022. And I am excited. I set a goal in 2022 to reduce my mileage by 15% - I was like clockwork for years - 1000+running, plus 3500+ biking. And I failed in 2022. Given my longest race...

After a low mileage July - August was back at it. Granted in July we spent 10 nights in Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota doing the national parks, with an average of 13k steps a day and drove 2200 miles. Can't say enough great things about Tetons and Yellowstone but no running. We did bike...

April stats - between vacation (Key largo was incredible), work trips, and a race it's the lowest monthly total in a long, long time. Spent 4 Fridays in April in 4 different places - which really contributed. Ran 63 miles (10 was race day) and biked 183. Biking in particular was low.

QOTDL I was never a runner growing up - think offensive lineman, heavyweight wrestler - built to go 10 yards not 10 miles. Lost 100lbs over 10 years ago, got into triathlon and running. Running is the place where I can zone out, and think. at 55, my years running are numbered but still enjoy it...
