    Overwhelmed and

Magic Bands - we like having them as it is so much more convenient and in the grand scheme of a Disney vacation not that expensive, especially if you don't get fancy. I am of the mind that if I am going to spend a significant amount of money on something then I will spend a bit more on some...

    DAS changes coming WDW

The more I read here and think about my experiences over the years before and after using DAS I think Disney does need to move away from the current DAS pass as an answer for everyone. Even the CM told me it's all or nothing now as far as accommodations when I explained my needs. I don't...

    DAS changes coming WDW

That has never been the case for us at WDW and I know many others have had the same experience. My nephew was a hair over 40" and we were denied RS for TOT. We were offered to swap at the exit, but he was terrified of the queue and the idea of having to ride with no way to exit (hard to...

    DAS changes coming WDW

Gotcha - For RS as it is now you have to bring the entire party to the CM prior to entering the line, they measure the child (if they are borderline) and if the child doesn't meet the height restriction the CM will issue the RS to 2 riders / the party riding second to return and ride via LL...

    DAS changes coming WDW

So, anyone who decides they want to use RS in the future will just have to request it? I am skeptical on that based on how strict they are now (pre-changes) with regard to having a child who doesn't meet the height requirement.

    DAS changes coming WDW

I have two concerns with this - one I have mentioned before. We are a party of 3 and I only use the DAS for attractions where I want to ride with my dd's. So, this leaves one dd in line, one with me and then two of us riding again. In this case I will just go back to skipping not only the...

    DAS changes coming WDW

I like the idea of extending an hour - that would work for us. I do take exception to the fact that DAS is a real advantage - most who qualify don't get as much done as a typical guest, let alone more rides per day.

    DAS changes coming WDW

Except with a party of 3, I guess my dd's could take turns waiting and "take one for the team"! But again, I would just send them together to ride and skip the RS option for me as it just won't work for us.

    DAS changes coming WDW

Agree, although I hope its groups of 3, as well. The only reason I even ride many of the attractions I do still ride is to do it with my dd's. If one of them has to wait the line alone, then I would send them together and just skip my RS option. As it is we already do this on many of the...

    DAS changes coming WDW

You wouldn't use RS with a party of two as it is now, if the child can't ride then they can't be left alone either. You would need at least 2 adults to use RS with a child who didn't meet the height requirement. / Agree!

    DAS changes coming WDW

I would be ok with this if we could all ride together! If my dd's could wait standby and then I could somehow join them at the boarding I would be fine with this. A few of the CA parks do this and it worked for us. My dd's would let me know when they were close to boarding and then I had a...

    DAS changes coming WDW

Hopefully - but the RS option is what I think the other poster was talking about. With DAS its 4 which is fine, but the RS option will leave the prior DAS user alone waiting for the 2nd ride unless you have a party of 4 or more.

    DAS changes coming WDW

Good point - and there is less (no) privacy! Honestly, I will probably skip the attraction rather than trying the RS option for two reasons, I don't want to air my issues in public (and not every attraction CM will have the training the GS CM's do) and I really just want to ride with my...

    DAS changes coming WDW

This is what interests me - background, I have DAS for a medical issue, I am not on the spectrum. I was on a bench at the studios and got into a conversation with a CM while my kids were riding, we got to talking about me waiting for my family the CM literally walked me into Guest Services...

    DAS changes coming WDW

This is me as well, I don't ride rides for my enjoyment but to be with family. As it is; I don't ride much anymore but I do enjoy being together for the attractions we can do as a family. We don't get more rides in with DAS but we do get to enjoy the day together. I had my video chat and got...

Advice/Things to Know for an Art of Animation Stay?

Ok sorry I guess that's my bad - we were at AOA in September and the CM told us to enjoy either pool.

Advice/Things to Know for an Art of Animation Stay?

We like AOA but when I am solo its Pop for me as you don't have to convert the murphy bed from the table & chair setup giving you a better living space (imho - especially for 9 days!) I can wake up and have a quick breakfast and check my emails etc. and not have to sit on a bed :) It just feels...

Fun things for characters to sign

Of all the items we have had signed over the years, by far the hat is still the favorite - and the only one each of my now college age kids haven't discarded or put in storage. Get a light-colored baseball hat or bucket cap with a favorite character/theme and a sharpie and your good to go...

Park admission with no magic band

Yes, the park greeters at the entrance of any park can issue an admission card. Each CM has a pocket full of them so there is no need to wait at guest relations behind others with more complicated issues/purchases.

Ideas for a no park day?

We love to explore the AKL, beautiful lobby and they have activities each day both free and for pay. My dd's did the pencil rubbing and still talk about this as well as collecting beads for animal activiites. There is also a nice playground and of course lots of places to see the animals. You...
