Hi :flower1:
Quick question.
Has anyone booked the lounge at MCO prior to flying home?
Would you recommend?
Thanks :thanks:
Forgot to say, we're flying with Virgin Atlantic.

I'm not too sure. :sunny:
The MCO website maybe?
Confused as to which side Virgin fly into/out off.
Their site says 'A' but live flights seem to be leaving from 'B'?! :worried:
The MCO site is coming up with 'The Club MCO'.......
Anyone been recently who knows?
:thanks:

If you are flying at a peak time for a flight back to the UK (e.g. between 5pm and 8pm) then I wouldn't recommend the Club MCO lounge. The trouble is that there is only (to my knowledge) that one lounge for that wing of the airport and so it is shared between basically every European based airline's passengers. This means it gets absolutely jam packed with both people who have business class tickets and people who have paid to use the lounge, because it's the only choice.

We flew BA last year and had an upgrade to Club World on the way home, so were entitled to use the lounge for free. When we got there, there was about a 30 person queue to get in (all the way from the lifts to the desk) and they were dealing with it on a one in, one out basis. I peered round the door and it looked like even when you did get in, your chance of finding seats together (assuming you weren't a solo traveller) were going to be very tough and that it was going to be quite noisy. We turned around at that point and just went back to the main terminal and sat down in the seats at an unused gate and ate what we'd bought from the food court and probably had a more peaceful time of it!

However outside of rush hour, it's probably quite a nice place. Also if you were flying with an American based airline (Delta, United, etc.), then because they're in different wings they have their own lounges and these are far quieter and a lot more relaxing.

Thanks Steve_Rob - that's saved me almost £60 then :sunny:
We fly out of MCO at 19.15 with Virgin Atlantic so will give it a miss.:thanks:

We used the lounge last year, we were flying with BA in Club World so had access to the lounge for free.
It was very quiet when we arrived & never really got busy, it was Thanksgiving day which probably explains why it was so quiet.
The lounge itself was okay, we've been in worse but we've also been in better.

We've used the lounge before and it was great. Loads of choice for places to sir, free drinks and nibbles, good Wifi access and very relaxing. Maybe when Steve_Rob went a couple of Disney buses had arrived together? Or a specific airline had an offer? either way, I've only ever had a good experience.

I went to the club on the way back to the UK last month. To be totally honest, I don't feel like it was great value for money. By the time magical express dropped us off and we got through security we only had about 2 hours before the flight departed, we boarded the virgin flight about an hour before take off so it cost me about $80 for the two of us for an hour. The food and drink situation is about the same as the lounges at Gatwick, you aren't going to get anything amazing. I think we will skip the lounge coming back next time, but I think it's still worth it when going out from Gatwick.

I hope this helps
