Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We always request first floor, and I have never felt unsafe. Not sure it ever occurred to me that maybe I should consider that.

We have always felt safe. There is enough of a buffer(grass and small shrubs) between the patio and walkway. Also, it’s been my experience at the Poly at least, that the walkways away from the main building aren’t ever flooded with people. As far as the noise level, I’ve never noticed it to be any louder than any other room.

Good to know, and thanks for your responses! I am probably more inclined to want an upper floor, but I think the idea of being able to walk out to 'beach' sounds enticing. :beach:

I booked lagoon view CL and my only request was Balcony and requested top floor knowing that it was a long shot BUT got my text and I was given room 3518. LOVED the room!! I looked on some sights and this room is categorized as a lagoon view room but let me just say that this could easily be a theme park view room!!!! Sitting on the balcony watching the fireworks, electric water peagent, and staring at the castle allowed me to cross something off my bucket list!!! Would recommend this room to anyone!! It was all the way Down the hall from the lounge but the walk is not far at all and never found it to be a problem at all.
Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to say aloha and make sure we didn’t need anything!! The lounge was great and the kids loved all the snacks and drinks.... staff also made sure to ask if our kids wanted something that wasn’t out and would gladly get it for them!!
I’m still trying to process everything after such an Amazing vacation but If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them :)

Your view was awesome! Glad you had such a wonderful vacation. Our multi-gen family will be there in less than 2 weeks! Just a quick question about the lounge food for the kids. Ours are a tiny bit choosy lol and I wondered if it's possible that any of their favorites are on hand...watermelon, strawberries, applesauce, pb&j, cheese and crackers. I can always get an order from Garden Grocer if needed. And do you recall what white wines are available? Thanks so much!

They had every food you noted above except I’m unsure about the applesauce .... and I’m sorry to say I didn’t take note of the wines :( ... not a big wine drinker

Gotta love that Disney math!
One of my colleagues today asked about my trip, and one of his comments was, "That must have cost you 5 grand!"... :confused3
Lol, I didn't reply anything at all. You either go on vacation or you don't. Different strokes and all that, lol! :rotfl2:
Too funny... we get this from time to time --- and look at as our trips to other places that cost every bit as much as our Disney trips and no one says "boo" about that. Generally most people don't see the value in things they are not engaged in.... Do we want to spend 12 hours per day doing a bus tour or sitting on a beach--- for us no way! Although there are tons that others see value in that we don't so these things it's not for us.... Enjoy what make you happy.

When you go to Disney a lot or every year, your gonna catch flack. Even trying to shame you, at least in my case. It really pisses people off to hear your going to Disney again, once again, in my case. I think it has to do with the $$$ factor. Disney is perceived as a luxury vacation now, IMHO, and if you can go often, then you must have $$$$. And women, not really men, but women hate to see other women be able to do that, once again, in my case. But in my case, I have had quite a few women who hated me just because I am married to my baby daddy, been married for almost 23 years, and have a stable life. I am not in the same boat they are in and they hate that. And they hated the fact that we frequent Disney.

Which room category do you have the best chance at getting a 3rd floor room at poly cl?

In terms of the disney hate, that drives me crazy too. Fortunately I have friends that go yearly too so they get it. We're taking a year off and I'm planning with my friends trips lol. It's pathetic really. We are going to atlantis this year instead and will probably spend the same if not more then disney. Was thinking a short trip in September because schools are closed for the jewish holidays but just remembered ods will be in a Catholic HS so he will have different days off then me :sad1::sad2:

:) I like your smiley face with umbrella!
I know a lot of people prefer the upper floors. But, for us with little kids, it was really nice to be able to just wheel the stroller right up onto the patio. Also when we would swim in the quiet pool at night (one of my kids favorite things to do). It was really convenient to just run into our room instead of having to go inside and up an elevator!
We have stayed at the Grand Floridian and Poly and the Poly is by far my favorite resort so far!

I have CL TPV at the poly in October. I mainly want to see fireworks from our room/balcony. My husband wants me to request third floor but I kind of liked the idea of ground level, with the perception of additional space when you open the door. The kids could run out and play. But would I be able to see the fireworks from our patio?

Jim and I are off to the Beach Club tomorrow. Not my favorite, but no room at the Boardwalk with my cast discount. I had originally booked just a regular room, but we were sprinkled with some pixie dust and upgraded to a CL room due to some issues from our last trip there. This NEVER has happened to me because i always have booked with my cast discount. I will be going in with a positive attitude and hope for the best.

I am going to be staying there again in September with my son and his family because the kids love the pool. I am happy to be going to Disney and thankful I can go often and have such a great discount. Let me know if anyone has any questions! It will be a very relaxing trip for us.
It's not my favorite one either but the food is good.

Hope you have a great time:flower1:
I’ll raise a glass to that. That’s some sensible Disney math if you ask me.

Enjoy the champagne and scones!

Thanks :goodvibes

Has anyone used Signature Services to book FP+ at 60+days mark?? I booked my trip via a Disney agent whose service is pretty good so far. But I don't know if Signature Services would do a better job at getting FP+ than my TA...
I do my own. I like to tweak my times so they are stacked against each other, for example 6-7p, 7-8p,8-9p.

Hopefully others have a better recommendation. :daisy:

Keep in mind once there things happen. We have changed parks, or hours or rides once there. Flipping last minute will be hard for major headliners but I have switched parks in the morning and still been able to get something worthwhile. ::yes::

Both have advantages. I do like to remind ppl requests are that, requests. The room we want needs to be available when we arrive .

I think poly is one of the few places I enjoy a 1st floor. It's just kinda nice. :cloud9:

So glad you had a great trip!

For lv vs TPV usually it's if you have a full view of the castle. If a tree blocked some then it was lv. I don't mind lv because it's still gorgeous.:worship:

Seems like the wines changed last time vs other trips: Merlot, Cabernet , Chardonnay and a sparkling.(dd mixed with the Pog for Pogmosa or OJ for std mimosa).

They also have the special punch at 5p. It's really yummy. It has the pog mixed with many other things and has to the tried. :drinking1

That's what's nice about cl. There are lots of things to choose from. Some times I have tea just because it's there.

We do go other places but I love my disney, I never ever get bored. :thumbsup2

I now just embrace it, " yep I'm going to Disney again, last year I went 8 times and hope I can do at least 4 this year". The looks I get but I'm tired trying to hide it. :rotfl:

Yes! My pic won't post but I have had lovely views from all the 1st floor lagoon side rooms I have had.

You can't hear the Hawaiian music over the iPad, but you can from the rooms!

I also love listening to MK wake up. You can hear the trains, howling from HM , boat horns etc. :cloud9:

Yes and maybe the request you should consider is not a 2nd floor room, since you seem to prefer 1st or 3rd, better your chances of what you’d like. Have a wonderful time!!!

We returned last night from a long weekend at the BWI, in a Garden Suite. We were in 1202 this time (1201 last year), which was still nice and close to the back staircase to the lounge and the quiet pool. It was lovely! There was a really nice variety of food in the lounge during the day, a tasty breakfast, and the only night we were there for hot hors d'oeuvres was really great (steak with fingerling potatoes and a nice sauce, and fish with veggies). Excellent coffee. DH missed the beer fridge at the Poly, but otherwise no complaints! Hoping to return to BWI again next spring.

I think that we were there the same night! Those hot hors d'oeuvres really were delicious!

I heard you had lobster rolls as well!

Yes we did! So good! And I'm a New Englander, so I know about such things!

What a spectacular treat. You deserve it after all the reschedules, injuries and illness! Hope you have an amazing time. Can’t wait to see your pictures.

Glad your dad has had some ups too.
It really was such a treat! How I miss the big soaking tub, lol! And thanks so much for your kind words! My dad is working hard at building his strength in rehab so hopefully he'll be on the mend soon!
Wonderful! pixiedust:
I am delighted for you! Have a fabulous time! :daisy:

Thanks so much - we really did have a fabulous time - just not enough time, but there never is!

Me too! I do love the GF, but the Poly is (and always will be) my favorite :goodvibes.

Sounds like a great trip. We love the Poly but never did 10 nights there - we always end up doing a split stay. You had a great view.

Would it be frowned upon if everyone in my party were to pack away a few snacks, drinks, and such to take to Typhoon Lagoon on our water park day? Maybe some of the cookies, or rice krispy treats, a bit of fruit? If so, I would not dare do it, so I thought I would ask.

I would do it, and I’m pretty sure plenty of other people do that all the time based on what I’ve seen in the lounges. Personally I’ve never felt like they paid any attention to what we were taking, and I quite regularly stash extra drinks under the stroller for later when we pass through the lounge and never felt weird about it. We also fill to go cups with gummy bears, chips, desserts, etc for the kids (or me!) to eat later.

Ok, great. We will get a few snacks to pack in our soft side cooler. Nothing major though.

They don't have bottled water in the lounges do they? I thought I read somewhere they didn't. I would really appreciate it if they did.
