So with the amazing popularity of escape games around the country, I've brilliantly come up with the idea of an escape theme park. The idea here is much like a scavenger hunt, although instead of just writing down answers to questions sending you around the park, you would need to apply the information given to you to get to the correct location next. My real point for this post is to see if anyone else has heard of this idea, or if I'm crazy to even think about it. Do you think this could be done in the park with minimal materials? I would ideally only have paper, pencil, and a park map.

I'm not sure it would work in-park because of the crowds. There would either be a high-demand to do it or if it was more open you'd be able to see the party ahead of you figuring out the clues. I do think this could work as a paid activity at Disney Springs or maybe even in one of the resorts. It's a cool idea and escape rooms are fun, but the environments have to be so controlled and I think the theme parks wouldn't be the best location.

I think that there could be a way to do it, especially in Epcot. But in my head, it has people going backstage in the World showcase....

Another option, is an actual Room version of it that is in the Innovations East (?) building that is currently under utilized.

I was planning on creating something like this for my family. I love doing escape rooms with my teens. We said it would be so fun to do that at WDW.

I hope you develop this further!

Ive been thinking more & more about this. Not an official Disney escape room but something I create for my teens.

This will keep me going until I get my next trip planned.

I’ve created a couple of escape rooms already for work functions. And one just for fun.

Maybe this is the concept we've been waiting for, to be placed on Discovery Island.

There were plans at one point to make it into an attraction based on the video game, Myst. (Not that anyone remembers Myst anymore, but it was a puzzle computer game with a mystery storyline.)
