Rivers of Light package worth it?

I've booked an 8am breakfast as this package but just wondering if normal ADR for breakfast would be fine as not sure if we need the reservation for ROL. Is it worth the extra? Works out between the 2 adults and 2 kids about $20 difference. Is the seating much better? hard to get in to in June?

We saw it for the first time in July this year. Had FPs and I thought they were good seats. Biggest disappointment ever. Won't be going back when we head over next week or during our visit in October. Unusually the Music left us cold and we struggled to follow a story line. Just boring (can't believe I actually typed that!). Still a mammoth amount of tweaking needed by Disney to bring this up to scratch. They've obviously already spent a fortune building an amphitheatre and delayed the proper start for improvements. A looooong way to go yet.

I'd say it's well worth seeing once, and with the package it's relatively hassle-free.
If I had to queue for any length of time I would feel disappointed, but if you can spring for the package then I would go for it.

You're absolutely correct. Everything is worth seeing once so that you can make your own mind up. I'm well aware that we love some things that others don't - each to his own!

I saw it last week and I’d say it was worth a watch, but like others have said if you can get either a fastpass or dinner package to skip the queue it will definitely be a bonus.
I had a fastpass and got a seat with a pretty decent view about 10 mins before the show started but June can be quite busy. The show itself wasn’t for me, but certainly worth a watch if you haven’t seen it before.

It's worth it if you're on the free DDP, and you would have had a meal in the park
if you do Tusker House you get character dining + evening show for the same price. Why miss out ?

but if you pay OOP, and/or book a meal for the seating voucher only, then it's not worth it (in my opinion) because they'll charge you $5pp for the "free seating voucher"

basically that's paying for a fastpass.
Actually I did cancel my ROL package at TH once I realsied my meal would be more expensive as a result (paying OOP)

I thought that, there would still be a chance to bag a FP+ as a revolving FP during the day, and if not I'd probably manage to find a seat on the day, and if not ... well, I'd spend more time admiring the lights in Pandora

We saw it in November on FP+.
It was okay but nothing special, we won't be rushing back to see it unless there are some major updates.

easywdw has reviewed favorably the package for Tiffins. Depending on what you would order, you could even save some money (if you're a vegetarian and order the curry it's not going to happen ;) ). But it was some time ago, so I'm not sure if it has changed. Tiffins is an excellent restaurant, everything was delicious and I'm looking forward to going back next trip. If I can get the package for about what I would spend anyway I'd certainly do it.

I thought it was worth it when I went to see it in May 2017. But I didn't queue for the FP and, instead, got the prix fixe meal at Tiffin's (where you could select any soft drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert). So, if you were already planning to have the expensive stuff anyway, it was definitely worth it!

we did the Dining package in December,
Well worth it and no need to queue and sit about, we turned up ten mins before and were taken to our section and got a seat near the front row.
