Most unique souvenirs

I would like input as to which are the most unique souvenirs to purchase at the Disney World parks. Basically, I want to buy something that you cannot get anywhere except in the parks.

Thanks.

I would say the "Pick a pearl" in Epcot's Japan pavilion would be one of the more unique souvenirs.

You can find most stuff like that elsewhere such as ebay. However, barring resale, you have the park exclusive mugs from Starbucks at each park, park exclusive pandora beads, the Hitchhiking ghost mug from Trader Sam's, the pressed pennies from the machines, the popcorn buckets, the refillable mugs, various pins to collect...

I think the internet and ebay have all but killed the park exclusive items being truly park exclusive. There are even people who will go to the park for you and buy something there. Souvenir concierges, I guess.

We got a replica of the Tomb Guards at the Chinese Pavilion. We love it and it does not scream WDW but when we see it, in our living room it reminds us of our trip.

I know you can get these at the resort hotels, probably Disney Springs and maybe you can get it elsewhere these days, but I think the Monorail Toy and accessories are very unique.

I would have to agree on the uniqueness of it. We saw them when we were there on Tues 10/17. As some side information, they don't start doing the photos until between 10am and 11am. They weren't set up yet when we were in there and unfortunately we didn't make it back .

I got a an artists drawing of Professor Ludwig von Drake at The Art of Disney at Disney Springs.

I have a beautiful Disney Pandora ring that looks like an engagement ring but has tiny hidden Mickeys. No one realizes it’s Disney themed or fake until I tell them. It’s what I wear as my wedding ring when I’m in Disney. Not too expensive either, especially with the DVC/AP discount.

As a child, one of my favorite unique souvenirs was a painted parasol - I loved being able to choose what I wanted on it (I chose princesses, of course) and getting to watch it being painted.

The pick a pearl experience in Japan is one we just have to do every time and never see anywhere else. The first year we got earrings and a ring made but then the second time I bought cages online that I brought with me and just popped them in myself after picking the pearl. The pearl itself is under $20 (unless something has changed recently I think it was about $14 or so) and they really make it such a fun and memorable experience!

DD chose a painted parasol while we were in Magic Kingdom. I absolutely love it and I'm so glad she picked it.

We have 2 wooden wind chimes, purchased in AK near the exit from the Safari. As I recall from the tag originally attached to them they were designed for Disney and hand carved. One features a red parrot and the other is some sort of crane with a long neck, they hang inside our Tiki Hut in the back of our yard. I hope they have a new one when we go next week.

It entirely depends on how much you want to spend and what you're into, but I have a couple of Dooney and Bourke bags. In both the Haunted Mansion and Its a Small World patterns. I use them every day and people wouldn't know they're Disney until I point it out.

I have... more... Dooney and Bourke bags than the previous poster and love them dearly. I love that they're unique and some of them are so subtly Disney that people have no idea then other of my D&B bags are much more obviously Disney.

Not quite what you're probably asking, but I love the pictures I get from PhotoPass; best way to remember a vacation!

There is an African outpost in Epcot that sells really cool jewelry made from park maps. They also sell wooden hand carved animals that you can request the artist do while you watch. They are beautiful and a very unique Disney souvenir...

Whenever the question of souvenirs comes up I always go straight to the trash can salt and pepper shakers.

They are subtle Disney and completely ridiculous but I smile every time I see them on the dining table.
