Today, 2 hours late to the Mine Train ILL and was accepted.

Updated LL order 4/6 (note when park is busy you are going to have to use the refresh trick, never use a LL for a show or character meeting, use them as fillers in between ride attraction LLs instead)

4)5) Either Big Thunder or Haunted Mansion whichever give you the longer return time
After that I go with Pirates, Buzz or Speedway
After that everything else in Fantasyland

Purchased ILL$ historically do not have the return time monitored. Only one we don’t have any data of a late arrival of ILL$ yet is TRON. All other purchased ILL$s accept late arrivals.

About how long to you have to complete purchase on an ILL$ without losing your time slot? I have DH set up so one of us can try for ILL$ while the other books the regular Genie + attraction. Last time he was in charge of one it didn’t go so well. Wondering if I can get to payment and then check to be sure he is all set before finishing or if I might end up losing the ILL$ time.

received A big scare when I contacted disney through the MDE app how to apply gift card to GENIE PLUS. I was told it wasn’t possible. I couldn’t believe it, even on page 1 it says can purchase. So after calling DISNEY the cast member looked it up and explained it will show gift card option at payment options. Just suggest copy paste numbers and buy at 12:01am. Since am heading there tomorrow. I was a little confused because in the past I’ve always had a disney gift card on my profile. For some reason I couldn’t figure out where to put it. Kinda frustrating am not a smooth Disney attendee like before.

Not sure if I’m 100% following but, if you were trying to apply your gift card in advance to use for purchases later, that is not possible. You can use it at the time of purchase (G+, food, etc.) but, you cannot apply it early, creating a credit on your account. Hope this helps.

Obtained individual LL and genie plus reservation. But the MDE says I have overlapping plans. Does this mean i need to modify either reservation? Or just ignore it? Also not sure how reliable touring plans is with MDE.

Which attractions are these for? What are the return windows of each?

It should not be a problem if you can ride both during their return windows. If you are not able to, ensure you arrive at your LL attraction within its return window. Historically you’d be okay to arrive at your ILL$ attraction late except if the ILL$ is TRON. We have no data points if guests arriving for TRON late and other return windows are being enforced so I would not want to risk it.

Just got back from an insanely crowded week at the parks. Insane - and we go once a year. We did it all - got VQ for tron twice and Guardians twice. Did those on multiple phones. Got all 4 days. Then we did Genie plus selection. Some days we also did ILL.

The last day we were at MK. (4.6) Genie plus was absolutely pointless with the crowds. I felt very confident with my approach since we had used it on the prior days at the parks. Modifying the reservation was a disaster. It would shoot you out to the afternoon when I was trying to get an earlier time in the morning. I went into the office at 2 p.m. after we were only able to use it once from 9 a.m. - 1, and they gave me a refund.

Honestly the best way to make it worthwhile for a family of 4 - assume 2 adults, 2 old enough to ride alone kids is to get 2 Genie plus for one ride and 2 for another ride - give the kids all 4 magic bands and let them ride. That is typically our plan.

The other issue with the week was picking your rope drop. Boys did 7D, Space, TT. We were even at the front of the line so got on those easily. BUT after riding the first ride, every line was already super long. There was no jump on another ride before the official opening. I think it would be much better if at MK they had the entire park open from 8:30-9.

Yes it's going to slow you down too much to get those. I would just use a stored card.

Based on the way things have been selling out. Maybe if you're not going at a busy time? If those exist anymore. I personally wouldn't risk it if they're super important to you.

Yeah, for that, I'd just use a credit card that is stored. I wouldn't chance it. Use the gift card for non time sensitive purchases.

One advantage G+ has over FP+ is you can overlap times (and I know that ILL isn't actually part of G+). MDE will point it out, but it's not a problem - just wants you to be sure you know you have a busy time period that day!

Agreed. I lost a Rise ILL about a year ago in the time it took to paste my gift card number.

First at 12:01am purchased Genie then At 7am For Hollywood and Epcot, purchased individual LL with gift card. Had the gift card ready to copy paste from notes. Everything worked fine.

Did the same routine for MK. But only got Tron.
made a mistake not purchasing for 7DT I didn’t like the time offered and thought if I went straight there first at early entry wouldnt need it. it seems everyone was thinking the same thing. Cuz ended up standing in line 85 mins. i truly regret not purchasing the ILL.

since the genie and the ILL was so expensive, I‘m glad used the gift card.
I don’t know how others got VQ, I tried at 7am and 1pm and it was gone instantly.

overall I hope Disney removes this system. Fast pass was fine. Why change something that wasn’t broke.

I have not had issues using a GC to pay for ILL. I go ahead and copy the GC number first, before going in to book the ILL. That way all I have to do is paste it when I get to payment. I haven't done this for Tron or Guardians, but I have done it several times for Rise right at 7 am with success.

Trying to get our plan together for our upcoming trip and I was looking at the app and wait times. I noticed that the above rides had grayed out “LL Individual Lightning Lane-Not Currently Available”. Does this mean that the ride is standby only? Did they used to offer LL and they don’t anymore?

I think it usually means that all ILL spots are gone for the day. Isn’t Remy’s included with Genie + now?
