How Much Is Your 2022 Disney Vacation Going to Cost You?? $$

Zero - We decided to not rebook our cancelled 2020 trip this year. There's no way I'm paying the current prices to have a sub-par experience or lower my expectations. We've traveled to other destinations this year, have spent less money, and have had a full experience. I doubt we'll be back until WDW has everything up and running.

Solo trip for a week-trip is in 12 days.

AK Park-using old non expire ticket

Right around $1,000 for a split stay DIsney/Beach vacation.

Rental car/gas: 400
Lodging @ Pop (6 nights): 1400
Tickets (5 days): 1600
Food: 1400
Activities/shopping: 500

Total: $5,300

Seems from everyone else's posts that I might not need my full food budget, which would be great.

2 adults, 2 kids (but Disney ‘adults’)

rental car: $900 (watching to see if it goes down)
dvc dues $800 (probably should take some of the initial cost of it into account though)
tickets $2160
food - not sure, we have a full kitchen this time so breakfast & dinner in the room, lunches at the parks

We just got back and it was our cheapest trip ever, but only because we paid for it all in 2019 then had to cancel three times, so it was "paid for" other than food and incidentals.

This is us too basically. It’s been moved so many times I’m just pushing the already paid for credits around.

Family of 5 - June 2022 = $ 6,235
5 Tickets (4 day non hoppers) -$1900 (kids are getting florida resident verified by grandparents)
6 nights at CBR - $1985
Flights from Boston to MCO including two checked suitcases - $950 (got a wicked good sale on Black Friday)
Parking at airport - $230
Sunshine Flyer - $170
Other stuff - $1000 (food and souvenirs)

I was actually panicked about how much more I’m spending this trip than before, but now that I see it all spelled out it’s actually pretty similar or less than I’ve spent on previous trips. I did look up what It would cost if I booked the same flights today and it’s about $2,500.
Going in June too and also from Boston. Just booked airfare for 4 and want to DIE

Two Fl Residents for 4 nights:

Gas. $150
Hotel. $1000
1/2 APs. $400
Food. ?
Dog Boarding. $200

We could cut our lodging costs to about half by staying offsite the whole time in an inexpensive hotel, but a luxury once tasted becomes a necessity. We can’t get our preferred on-site hotel every night so this is a split stay making it cheaper by about $500.

We don’t spend much on food at MK because we think it’s mediocre at best. Epcot can get pricier depending on the food booths. At HS, we exist on popcorn—pretty cheap after the first bucket. plus a drink at Oga’s.

Not too many years ago, we used to go to Paris for a week for about $1000 p/p.

drive down to BDL possible for cheaper flight?
just checked out flights when I bought them vs if I bought right now.. before 200$ pp one way from BDL > MCO now for the same flight its 500$ pp.. holy heck.

Gone are the days were we can go 2-3 times a year. We haven't been since before COVID, but are hoping to have a trip in 2022.

Two "adults" (me and my 18yr old daughter)
We are driving in our van (7hr drive) and plan to stay in Orlando 15 days.

15 day AirBnb condo - 1600.00
8 WDW days w Memory Maker - 1335.00
3 US/IOA Days -0.00 (using our year passes from last years vacation w free parking perk)
Gas - 300.00 (I hope lol)
WDW parking - 200.00
Rest day Medieval Times dinner - 175.00 (used a Visa GC from Christmas)
Rest day Melting Pot dinner - 125.00
Groceries for Condo - 150.00 (bringing some from home)
Lunches/Dinners at Parks - 500.00
Spending/extra money - 500.00

We budgeted 5K. More than half of that was "free" using Ibotta, SB, Fetch, CC deals, GC deals, holiday gifts in the last 2yrs. I think I've spent about 1500. out of pocket. Trying to pay mostly with "free" money was stressful as heck though. I am saving now for a short 5 day trip in Oct w my 12yr old (so far at 300.00 saved with waay more to go).

My rough estimate is our 2022 triple costs us over 20,000. The vacation package alone was about 15000 and that is without food and all of the extras we are buying, like cabana's, Dessert packsges, and special ticketed events at the water park.

This is a 14 day split stay with the family of 4. 10 days at the beach club resort and 4 days at the Polly with a theme Park View room.

Going on a friends trip so splitting lodging 3 ways (love it!)

7 nights DVC rental at BCV - $856
7 day park hopper - $680.50
RT nonstop airfare - $250
Food - $500
Spending/misc money - $250

Estimate total - $2566.

Hoping to trim that food budget because when I travel with these friends we don't do many (if any) table service meals and will definitely be getting water delivered.

Did you use dvc points or cash on the website?

Not DVC.

We've been saving Disney reward dollars for years, So a few thousand was paid with that. Everything else we're paying in cash, but with gift cards through Bj's which saved us another 700 or $800. And we are buying those gift cards with our Disney Visa card which in turn gives us even more reward points to use while we are on our trip.

At the moment it's a rough estimate because without actually going yet, I can't entirely predict what will spend on food and extra is while we are there.

I will state, even for Disney, this trip is a little bit outside of our normal. We are splurging because this is probably the last time we will be going for a while. It's nothing really to do with Disney, it's a decision we made a long time ago. Both of my kids are getting older and now we would like to concentrate on showing them the actual world the actual world, not the small part they get to see from Epcot.

But even so, I figured I might as well save everything I can. I was able to get 4 airfares with only 2 purchased. We have a premium Delta American Express card that gives us one free companion ticket a year. Because of covid they allowed them to stack, so I actually had 2 to use. We were able to upgrade our hotel rooms because of the thousands we had saved on the Disney rewards from our credit card over the last 4 to 5 years. And then paying things off with the gift card helps too.
