March Trip reports

BamaEd posted a great loop map with side numbers. Are there maps like that for loops 700,800and 900. Wiuld really help when requesting a spot.

Ok, I am feeling a little left out since I have not posted my travel plans, so here they are:

Pack trailer 3/26, leave house 3/27 around noon, drive 37 long miles, arrive at Fort around 12:45. Sorry, just couldn't resist.:tongue:

But I do wish all those that do have to travel far, a safe and happy road trip. :drive:

And for those hoping for warm weather, as a local, I am hoping for cool weather, it has been miserably hot here for Feb. :sunny: or :cold:???

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Don't forget to take frequent breaks, LOL.

Would love to send you some of this 3 degrees and -13 windchill temp. I even love to send you some of this white stuff covering my camper! LOL. Have fun at the Fort! 20190226_090930 (450x600).jpg

Do you camp at Lake Louise the night before to break up the drive?

I am finalizing our maps. I am "trusting" Google maps (plus the triptix I made)

What do I need to look for or be aware of once we hit Western Way? (or even before then)

I JUST GOT CRAZY EXCITED!!!! 3 more sleeps till we leave

Western Way is exit 8 off of Hwy 429. Take the east-bound exit toward WDW and cloverleaf off the highway onto WW.

WW is a speed trap sometimes as fyi but when if you are towing, that's not usually an issue. Follow it straight till it comes in beside Coronado Springs at a T-intersection and turn left. Stay in the left lane. Pass over World Drive and turn left onto the ramp onto World Drive toward MK and the tollbooth.

There is a ramp off the right just before the MK tollbooth to take you to FW (see the signs). As you come down the ramp to Vista Blvd, turn right and the Fort entrance sign will show up soon on the left side of Vista.

Then you are Home.

Leave sunny Arizona in 6 days. 9 days on the road and 2250 miles later we check into the fort. Lucky to be there for a month before the long drive home untill returning in the fall. Lots of FPs and dinner res for Epcot concerts. Can't wait for Spinners, Air Supply, and Sister Sledge.

Just started a thread about the new DVC construction that started this week. Looks like it's going to impact more than just the Backyard BBQ area. Said to see the changes to such a beautiful and iconic part of the Fort. :sad1: Just wanted to share on this thread so those that are going this month are prepared for the changes. On a good note, the new and improved dog park is slated to be reopened on March 11th.
