I love credit cards so much!

ABSOLUTELY! A CSR or CSP Card still makes a ton of sense and is one of the best signup bonuses out there.

If you can easily double dip the travel credit and the TSA pre or GE credit make sense then I’d go CSR.

IF those things don’t appeal to you take the CSP! 50k URs with an annual fee waived the first year...YES please :) :)

Did you just say “double dip”?

We own at Poly, BCV & BLT. We toured Boardwalk with a friend who owns there but I have to say I really didn't care for it. The rooms felt dated & at the time, it was very hard to book the rooms with nice views. This was about two years ago, so it may have changed, but I would anticipate it only got harder. AND - I really hate that clown! :scared1: No way am I spending any vacations looking at that (literal) Bozo!

You can always add points later - even resale points - and retain full benefits if you bought your initial contract directly from Disney. You can also buy a larger resale contract and add on 75 points from Disney, which would then give you full benefits that way, if you want them.
I love my BWV! The rooms have all been redone, so they are not dated anymore. The hardest to book are standard view, and Boardwalk view. Water/garden are the easiest. We almost always do standard to save points, I like watching the comings and goings out front. Our standard view last week, was actually all trees and a pond, so it was very nice. I know everyone hates that clown, he makes us laugh LOL.

I'm so glad they updated them! The resorts always look so pretty after a refurb & I bet they are really nice now. Just makes the decision harder for poor @Alexle2007 :lmao:

Thank you @Judique @striker1064 @wendow. This just seems so overwhelming. I just sent our guide an email asking about Beach Club or Boardwalk since we prefer that area. I’ll see what he says.

We love BCV!!! You have already gotten some great advice, so the only thing I will add is that we have an April UY. The April UY is good for our spring break that is always the first week of April, summer trips, and fall break in September. I do get alittle nervous when we plan Christmas or President's Day Weekend trips, but we have never had a problem. We had a Christmas trip that we cancelled a few years ago and we ended up renting the points on here. Availability was tight, but I managed to find people that wanted to go those times. We have really enjoyed DVC and have had awesome memories from many trips!

Can someone help with my next credit card selection? I'm kinda stuck and we have about a $30k kitchen remodel coming up in the next month so obviously makes sense to get some new cards...

Travel plans for the next year....
Disney Nov 2018 (fully covered with points now)
Carnival Cruise Mar 2019 (cruise paid in full, Holiday Inn 2 nights before covered with points) - driving
June 2019 - 4 night boating/lake stay in KY/TN - AirBNB (driving)
Aug 2019 - Hilton Head via AirBNB (driving)
Only plans beyond that is *maybe* Vegas/Grand Canyon/Cali trip in July 2020 but nothing in stone....

Cards:
Me - Chase Freedom 4/2016, CSP 1/2018, SPG Amex 2/2018, Chase Ink Business 6/2018, Capital One Venture 8/2018 (hit bonus today)
Hubby - Citi Toro CC 1/2018, Chase IHG 2/2018, CSP 4/2018, SPG Amex 4/2018, Capital One Venture 6/2018

I just sent my husband the referral link for Chase Ink Business card, and he's going to open an account at Chase this month for the $500 bonus, but not sure what direction I should go....thoughts? And yes, I'll be using referral links to apply as a thank you because this group is the best! :P
Looks like DH is 5/24, right? That would rule out a Chase Bus card. They don't add to 5/24 but you do need to be below 5/24 to get it.

You're right that it is YMMV. At my closest WM, the card machine thing faces the customer so the cashier never sees what card I'm using and doesn't ask to see it. On my evening trip yesterday I did 4 swipes (3 vgc), using my Discover debit for the 4th swipe to cover the fees. I had no idea I could do this until the cashier in the morning told me I could lol. Do they know I'm using a vgc? I'm guessing not since I got past the manager last night! So really, a ymmv situation.
Do you need to tell Walmart that you are doing, lets say, $500 on the first card or will it automatically deduct after each swipe? I usually do $2000 at Stop and Shop with 4 swipes and it auto deducts so the cashier doesn't seem to ask questions.

You guys, I'm having so much fun playing with the UR portal (just CF now; my CSR hasn't arrived yet) to look at internal flights and hotels in Australia :yay: I've moved onto the acceptance stage of flying UA business roundtrip to Australia unless something vastly changes in the next 12/13 months when I can book.

We need a new term for hitting the TC twice.

All this talk of doubling the CSR travel credit makes me wonder how this is actually done. I got my card 1/18, can I use the credit again in 1/19 and then cancel or PC the card?

Wow, wish there was a Stop and Shop here! Yes, I do need to tell WM how much on each card. But I start off the transaction by saying I want to buy 2 mos for 1k each and split the payments and then they are good with that.

ETA: I also come home and change the PIN on each card to one that I remember so that I'm not fumbling with the little pieces of paper w the PIN from the packaging. No way I'll remember 3 diff PINs for 3 diff vgcs, and the ones from the grocery store seem to all be the one with PINs in the packaging.

Amex Premier Rewards Gold Revamped! 4x MR on Groceries and Restaurants, $120 Dining Credit (at Select Food Delivery Services and Restaurants) Per Year.

Today Amex announced new benefits of this card:
  • $120 Dining Credit: You get $10 monthly dining credit available at Grubhub, Seamless, The Cheesecake Factory, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Shake Shack. Must enroll first and pay using Premier Rewards Gold card.

  • 4x points at US restaurant

  • 4x points at US supermarket, up to $25k purchase per calendar year.

  • 2x points at US gas station is removed.
As the OP says, the new benefit makes this card a no-brainer for a lot of folks.

The PRG comes with an easily pulled 50k MR/$2k MSR incognito offer, first year AF waived and $195 AF afterwards.

The PRG’s benefits include a calendar year $100 airline fee credit that works the same way as the Platinum and Hilton Aspire. Now, the PRG also includes a $120 dining credit to select restaurants and food delivery services, doled out at $10 increments every month. And the 4x MR at restaurants and grocery stores is better than a lot of other cards.

This card was on the chopping block for me come renewal time next year, but I may end up keeping it for a slice of cheesecake every month. Thank you, Amex!

That's what I was worried about. That darn Toro card he got and didn't tell me about! And now any other card he gets will just add on to the 5/24 right? So he'll never be able to get it. :( Now I'm not sure what he should get either.
