Saratoga Springs Coffee Maker

I don’t drink coffee so I have never noticed the coffee maker type. My friend who is coming with me is a coffee drinker, however. Can anyone tell me what kind of coffee maker in a two bedroom villa? Pod or regular with filter ? Thanks

You'll need to provide coffee and filters if you are staying on a DVC reservation (cash or points). They only provide one prepacked pouch of coffee each service day. Plus creamer and sweetener if you use them.

We just returned from Aulani, and they have the regular (12-cup) coffee maker, but the packets they supply are only made for 4 cups. I've run into this in other resorts as well. We bring enough coffee for our stay, a scoop, and filters. That way there is no problem with packets that only make 1/3 of a pot.

That’s interesting, we were just at several resorts in late April and didn’t notice that the packets were for the smaller coffee maker.

The packets make 4 to 6 cups of coffee. Just like the Maxwell House brand.

I think it makes a decent 8 cup pot. And I like stronger coffee so 6 is fine too. Interesting that others think 4 cups. I'd have guessed there's 4 teaspoons of coffee in the packs. I use a ratio of 1 teaspoon for every 2 cups of coffee.

Those Joffrey’s coffee packs only work for up to the 4 cup line for me. I always bring some coffee and filters with me, or buy when we get to Orlando.

I was going to ask a similar question. Will be staying at a Saratoga Springs Treehouse. I understand that I need to bring my own coffee filters, but not sure what size to bring. Is it an 8-cup coffeemaker? Or 12-cup?

I bought the economical size package for my travels to Disney 10 years ago, as I use a different type at home and I'm only 1/2 way in. At this rate, I may have enough to make it to the end of my DVC ownership.
I use the same sort at home. When I find myself low our out at home, I go into my Disney stash. Did that last night!

Me too!!! My coffee maker at home takes a cone shaped filter. A few times I took those along and just squished them down but eventually sprung for the flat bottoms. I too expect them to take us to the end of our ownership. :rotfl:
