2018 Free Dining Watch Thread V3

quick question and I feel silly for asking this, is free dining a thing that two people are eligible for
what I mean is I know there's a minimum number of nights but is there a minimum number of people

Number of people doesn't matter. From 1 to how ever many can fit into a room. Must stay on site, 2 day hopper ticket, 3 night minimum stay.

I get up for work at 3:00 in the morning. I told my source if they get the resort info by 9:00 to let me know and I will post it here. They are trying to find out as I post this. If 9:00 EST comes and I haven't posted anything you won't be hearing from me again. Hopefully I'll have some more info in the next 3 and a half hours.

Thsnk you!!! I am so worried that my plan Aand plan B will not work. Any info helps.

If you two are staying deluxe and don’t need parkhoppers do the math!!!! RO offer can be a better deal and paying OOP for food or DP .

Hi! First time forum poster/First time Disney World trip planner here. I have a question about the Park Hopper option. I already have a package to stay at WL in November. We have 4 day tickets to theme parks. I'm curious about adding the Park Hopper (as I'm reading it may be required to get FD). When it gives me the option for Park Hopper it states this: $239.64 (+79.88).
My question is, is that 79.88x each person, per day? Or just a one time per ticket fee? Trying to see if FD would even be worth it to us because we really have no intention to visit more than one park per day, or wait until the RO discount comes out and hope it applies to our stay.
We are staying for 6 nights with 2 girls (2 & 5) so we only purchased 4 tickets to the parks (figuring one day rest at WL in between and the arrival date at Disney Springs).

Thank you, in advance, for any insight ya'll can give. :flower3:princess:

Just an FYI you might need to switch resorts as WL is not included in the rumored participating resorts. Post #2 on page 1 has all the info.

I’m not even convinced at this point it will be tomorrow due to the lack of solid rumours. I want it to be but am not yet convinced.

Update: Just saw @disney Ron‘s post so my hopes are starting to rise again...

Exactly. Disney Ron wouldn't risk his credibility by being so definitive. I'm hooked! See everyone when the boards come back up!!!

We don't know that part for sure yet. Early rumors said 4-day PH ticket and there's been no reliable information saying otherwise.

Question- we are not sure if doing 8 or 9 days. Is it better to go ahead and book 9 days and if decide later to just do 8 will it mess up our free dining plan to take a day off reservation? Or is it better to just book the 8 then if decide to do 9 days then just try to add a day.

Try to book what will work for you. The last 2 years, I booked 7 nights free dining (that’s all that was available on booking day). I tried daily (both calling and looking online) to extend it an extra day. I had no success either time. It’s not as easy as adding or dropping a day anymore. If the package you want isn’t available they won’t just add or drop a day. I could have changed resorts and got 8 nights with free Dining but we really wanted to stay where we were.

What's the likelyhood Caribbean beach resort will be included?
Yes CBR most likely will be included, especially since its under renovation right now. It doesn't bother me but a lot of people don't want to stay at the resorts going under construction!!

So I'm debating on what to do. We are a family of six ( kids are 8,6,3, and 1) we plan to get a family suite at AoA or ASMusic. Trying for the AoA and if that doesn't work doing must music. Never been before and looking at all aspects of the trip. Are buses that much different at AoA and Music? Is it worth the extra money to stay at AoA? Really torn cause I know the free dining will save is a ton but I don't want a horrible but experience either. We are staying September 4-11th but the way

This is why I always book my room first and then add free dining. Too many people book weekend trips and it hard for people want to stay for more than a week.
