*Retail value of this stay ranges from $1,848 – $3,940 depending on length of stay, resort and room type and travel dates selected. Must be booked by 2/12/18 and travel from 1/7/18 to 5/24/18. Blackout dates apply. A deposit equal to your first night's room rate plus tax will be required to hold your reservation. See below for Terms and Co

I got the same email and am having trouble figuring out it this is a true savings. I made a rough guess of 12.5% tax and picked a 5 random days to price out and it is certainly a savings over rack rate but I think it may be comparable to a discounted rate. The advantage may be that usually by the time the discounts are released all of the rooms are gone so you are essentially locking in your room reservation ahead of time. This deal also seems a little cheaper than just renting points for the same room but when you rent points you aren't obligated to listen to the time share spiel.....

I got the same email. I have been trying to call unsuccessfully to see what the prices with actual dates. If you click the link in the email it takes you to a page showing a few example prices. If I compare the example prices to an available room during the dates available its close to the 40% off rack rate. One thing I didn't like was

"this offer is for accommodations only for a 3 or 5 night stay at select Disney Vacation Club Resorts in either 1-bedroom villas or 2-bedroom villas"

Looks like it may require the 3 or 5 night stay, no more no less.

I got the email too. I have not done any DVC presentations, but have been flirting with the idea of DVC. I did the online info request a few months back.

Anyhow, one attractive thing about this is that it says you can apply the vacation cost toward 175 points at Copper Creek:

  • Disney Vacation Club Purchase Offer: By purchasing 175 Vacation Points or more at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, the price of this accommodations package will be subtracted from the purchase price of Membership. Additional minimum down payment is required.

So if you know you want 175 points at Copper Creek, this can be a free 5-day vacation... And of course you also should get the $2000 purchase credit for 175 points at CC as well.

It's intriguing, but I wish there were dates past May 24...

There was no code but when I finally got through they checked my information to make sure I qualified. Not sure why I got the email as I have never discussed DVC with anyone or asked for any information about it. But I have stayed onsite at disney 9 times in the past 7 years and have stayed from value up to deluxe once (honestly prefer moderate).

Here are some details for the offer I got on the phone.

The offer was only valid for 3 resorts/room catagories

CCV 1br villa sleeps 4 (3night $1300) (5night $2100)
AKV Kidani 1br villa savannah view sleeps 5 (3night $1300) (5night $2100)
SSR 2br villa sleeps 8 (3night $1300) (5night $2100)

Price was set no matter dates as long as they were within the range and not in blackout dates.

I booked a 2br ssr villa for 5 nights and the total after tax was $2362.50 ($420/night before tax $472.5/night after tax). DVC tour had to be booked on the 3rd day of the stay. deposit was cost of first night stay. refundable up to 6 days before. The remaining due at check in. Dining plan was not allowed and I was also not allowed to add tickets and make it a package. But I was told I could add everything to MDE add tickets and get 60day FP+.

We are not for sure going but I figured better to book and cancel then to not book and not have it available later.

This is great if you are definitely going to buy, but $472 per night after 40% seems very high to me.

I didnt think it seemed that bad for a 2 br villa, but I have never booked one before and dont know what it would be with a discount.

But when I compare the exact same dates through WDW.com a 2br villa rack rate is $784/night before tax. and if I check one of the DVC rental places the total cost of the same dates is showing as 207 pts for a cost of $3312. So we are talking almost $1000 cheaper then renting points for the same room.

It’s very good pricing. I’m trying to convince my wife. We are close to sold on DVC anyhow so this is a free trip. I just wish the dates extended into the summer. Now that I think about it, I wonder if my wife needs to go (since their goal is to do their dvc speil)... or can I go with my brother. Hmm. And do we still get the 3 extra FPs for doing the dvc tour? Haha.

I asked about the additional FP+ that some people get for doing the tour. She said she didnt know for sure but would call me if she got an answer.

That is an amazing price for a two bedroom! I sure wish I would get one of those emails!

Is 40% off any better than just renting for $15 a point, though? By renting points, you get it cheaper, and much more flexibility in terms of accommodations and length of stay.
