DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Yep. Like most college coaches that get the bug to coach the pros, bomb there big time. See Spurrier, Saban...

Hello gents. Traveling on business this week so I'm a bit behind here. Prayers, congrats, cheers, dole whips and bacon!

Evening Gents.

Back from the game, unfortunately a loss but not bad given it was their first game and the prep school they were playing has a couple of tournaments under their belts. DS got about 15 minutes and after a nervous start he settled in to play pretty well. Ended up going 1 for 2 from the floor, 0 for 1 from the line, 3 or 4 rebounds and a couple of blocks. Should give him some confidence going into the first tournament this weekend.

CARP! Il Mulino only has a reservation at 8:00, way too late. Still nothing a Trattoria. I'm going to have to work for this one.

Yeah, unfortunately, if you're making FP reservations, you're late to the ADR party. :sad2: Sorry.

Morning guys. Lots of running around today and it is monsooning out there. Going to get wet.

Thanks, but see below.

Ravello? Its the Four Seasons, how bad can it be?

One step ahead of you. Thought about it last night and Ravello came to mind and grabbed a reservation. The thing I liked about Trattoria and Il Mulino is they are walking distance from the room. But Ravello is just a short drive away so all is good. A plus is that I haven't tried it yet.

Cool that you were able to find something. What I was trying to say (but posted hastily I guess) was since you're within the FP window, I was thinking ADRs anywhere would be tough. Glad you were able to snag something (especially one you haven't been to). :thumbsup2

No, you are totally right. There was only two times available when I made the ADR and one fit. Trying to find a pasta place to carb load the night before the marathon When ADRs were open for a while? It was a long-shot but I got lucky.

Yeah but they still wrote "Don't you forget about me". And he ended up with Chrissie Hynde. THE coolest chick on the planet.

::yes::

We went to Vero several years ago. We went in August and it was sea turtle nesting time (not sure if June is as well). That and renting the jetskis were both cool.

We've caught turtle season in October before. I think we have been to Vero 3 times now. I'm considering adding a 50 point contract on if i can find one.

Got the dreaded "can you see me after school" note from the teacher. Apparently the curly haired ninja has been practising her skills in class. So she is now at Malificent on the "good girl for xmas" chart (they are ranked in terms of good to bad, with Mary P at the top). :sad2:
We had to have a little chat, which is always fun with a 4 and a half year old. According to her, her little mate wouldn't stop saying butt, so she clocked her one. At least I know I'll have some backup at West Ham if it all kicks off. Happy days in London.

You could teach her, "right turn, Clyde".

The Dopey was impressive. We got up at stupid O'clock 4 straight days. At least she got the medals, I got squat.

We do lots of rope drops and she is not much of a problem getting up. The real problem is the time she takes getting ready.

That is becoming a regular add on with you guys and have to admit, it is a pretty good add on.

General rule is March thru October. Some species come in earlier than others. Once the eggs are laid, they take 45-90 days to hatch. Have not seen a hatching yet, but one of these days.

Yes, the morning time rituals of getting the female ready to leave the house. At least you get it X1 & not X3. And, only for Disney vacations.

Petrino didn't do that well returning to UL, despite all world QB.

That's no excuse. Put in some effort, man. Wait, no one does that here. :lmao:

Haven't been to Il Mulino or Bluezoo. Both are on the list, but i haven't convinced DW yet.

I was considering that too, but the annual dues for Vero are crazy. Besides, I like WL more, so looking to add a contract there if I do any of them. OTOH, if I go the buy the RV and [semi]retire route, then there may be no more contracts in my future. :sad2:

I literally tell DW we have to be some place 30-45 minutes before we actually do. Sometimes we're actually on time. ;)

For those of you not on FB, Mark posted a picture of his daughter up and walking around. She is recovering nicely.

I got a lot of stuff done so we can start to get ready for Thanksgiving. The Pirate and I even had time to enjoy an early dinner.

Would kill myself (or have a massive stroke) if I had to wait for three females. I also use the time adjustment trick with limited success. When the kid was in middle school I took her and a friend to Disney. One morning we were going to one of the water parks and they spent forever to get ready. Hair perfect and makeup applied we still made it to rope drop. Five minutes later we went down a slide and the hair was a wreck and the mascara was running down their faces. Had a good laugh.

Did Il Mulino once and while good, like Trattoria better.

Sick. Can't breathe. Coughing. Carp.

Dues are higher, but only a 50 point contract wouldn't be bad. I've tried that earlier time stuff, and it sometimes works.

Makeup at the water park. Sounds like my oldest daughter - missing that common sense sometimes. Got mad at me about taking away her cell phone and yelled "I hope i go missing because the kidnappers will give me a phone". Like a good parent, i bring that up quite often.

We had Trattoria for breakfast and it was good. Need to try it for dinner. They have had quite a few restaurants in that location in not so many years - Spoodles, Kouzzina, and now Trattoria.

Morning boys, from a meh kind of weather London.

Did the fakesgiving order for Sunday, we have a few people coming round. Dinner on Saturday night, so could get a bit messy. Will have the college football on to give it a bit of "atmosphere". We have Turkey, Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets, Yams with Marshmallow, Green Bean/Mushroom casserole, Roast Pots (we're Brits), Pecan Pie and Indoor Smores. And about 3 Gallon of wine. And Port. And Bourbon. And Cigars for the boys.

Apart from that, it's all good in the hood. Carry on. And remember. No-one expects the Spanish inquisition.
