DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Got to see the young'en's last performances with the POTM and the post game revelries.
Some very emotional moments were had.
nice one mate, looks like he had a blast.
IF you are looking long term, I'd wait until they name their new coach.
With the amount of times I have visited the fine state of FLA, I feel I really should support them. And I've supported the Bears for 30 years or so, and they are an absolute tossers, so my loyalty should not be questioned. And they are regularly on the tube over here.
I'm re-imagineering leftover pork roast to go with mashed potatoes and gravy with steamed broccoli.
That's tomorrows dinner, without the mash. Too many roasties today.
This year we get to loose to UNC (but given the way that the Tar Heels have been playing this might be one of those instances where the little school could eek out an unexpected and potentially embarrassing win).
I'll keep an eye out to see if it pops up on my channel. I'll be rooting for 'em.

As suspected. we did our bit for the Northern Californian economy by hammering our stock of Napa. And then me and mum's bloke were working our way through the offerings of Norm's great commonwealth. Have a good evening guys.

Happy Sunday. A productive shift at the church, home to pay some bills, and watch some of the Dallas vs Atlanta game. You all have a good Sunday.

An article in the paper about the numbers on the Governor's pension plan. There aren't any savings for close to 20 years. Why then to pass the legislation? My guess this is a set-up to dissolve the whole things after re-election. Ugh.

Thanks Lendl.

Glad i can help.

Morning boys from a grey London. Off to Remembrance Sunday service in our High St, where we all gather around our memorial. Then Roast Pork for lunch, and as it’s Ma round for dinner, the red wine stash is going to take an absolute battering.

Have a great day y’all.

Any particular reds? DW is a big red wine fan. I usually get her a Kendall Jackson merlot. Any other good ones besides Boone Farms? :lmao:

Morning gents. Haven’t read a thing. Work calls!

No one expects you to read - just post. :lmao:

Morning.

Who is making the coffee?

Dunkin Donuts blend at the house. I do the 40 cup of Folgers at the church.

Kona Cafe...

I'm heading to Randall's. :drive:

'Morning all...
Good traveling yesterday.

Send us a text when you about an hour or two out so we can start up a fresh batch and have it ready when you get here.

.

Last performance. Congrats to him. I'm sure that's a tough one.

That would be a nice Sunday tour. CBO for Kona coffee, Stats for biscuits n gravy, and 007 for red wine. When i hit the lotto, count on it.

It was Pork, so Pinot Noir. We do love a KJ, but it's really tough to get over here. We went round their vineyard on their honeymoon. We have a wine club thing here called Naked wines, which just does really small vineyards. It allows them to get to market, and we get wines at a really good price. We like a merlot or a malbec with a steak.

I'll keep a few bottles back mate. You'll be more than welcome.

Mamma mia, the bears were awful today. Can someone pop round to Soldier field and remind them its OK to throw the football in a forwards direction? They look like the bears from the late 70s.

Hello gents. I dropped out of it for a few days and missed 5 pages of chatter. Skimmed through but I imagine I missed some things. Hope you’re all doing well.

Paid my respects to those who have served on Saturday. Went to the war memorial and pinned my poppy to the cross there, which is actually the first time I’ve done that. Felt good to have that experience.

Spent the rest of the long weekend at my in-laws. DW and DDs had their cousin’s baby shower. FIL and I sat down and watched football (Pittsburgh vs Indianapolis) but we didn’t really care what it was, we were more interested in the rum and the game was just an excuse to drink. Girls came back after a couple hours and brought back plates of wings and cookies for us, so I call that a win.

Happy Monday. Driving to campus this week, and the temp is in the 50s, so no good views. Y'll close the door up north.

.

You say that so straightforward. I know nothing about wine, other than getting the cork out and drinking it. With those lotto winnings, I'd be more likely to stock bourbons from around the world as opposed to a wine cellar.

Don't stay gone too long. You miss all our nuggets of wisdom, or at least our nuggets of something. :lmao:

Not that you need an excuse, but rum, wings, and cookies sound terrific. Glad you enjoyed the day.

Happy Monday guys. Sorry, that is all I got.

Neat experience. Did I see picture of the cross on FB?

Last night on our PBS channel was a program titled, "Journey Home to the USS Arizona" Story about a family taking their Grandfather's remains to be interned with his shipmates at the Arizona Memorial. Very interesting and moving. Worth a watch if it can be found online.

Finally getting into planning mode for the January trip. Made my first ADR. Dinner at Trattoria the night before the marathon so she can carb load. Between the meet up meals and just figuring it out as we go, I only need one more for Sunday night. Also exploring out ticket options.

Yep, that's a win over here as well.
Folgers at the church
The best part of waking up is....
Dinner at Trattoria the night before the marathon so she can carb load
Good plan.
Watched the Gators this morning. Those goofballs may be my kinda team.

All the best to Mark, if he's on here this week. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly mate.

Strange game. If it didn't hurt so bad, I would have laughed at Henderson's Int. and fumble. With suspensions and injuries they are down to around 50 scholarship players.

Congrats CJ!! I've got all of my ADRs (well a couple I couldn't get) for our February trip. So PP is doing the marathon? Kudos to her (or anyone that wants to run that far...takes a special kind of crazy, err dedication). ;)

Have the Dolphin game on but instead of paying attention to it (with good reason), I made some FPs. Thursday-Epcot: Nemo, SE, Boarin. Friday-AK: Safari, EE, Navi. We intersect a couple of times with Terrence, Randall, and Timothy. No Avatar left the entire time we are there so we will need to do standby with the unwashed masses. Nothing picked for Monday or Tuesday yet.

Also, back to the drawing board for the ADR at La Trattoria. Maybe it for Friday not Saturday and they are booked on Saturday. I will have to keep trying later.

Yea, she is a bit crazy. One year she did the half, the next year changed to the full. She also ran a Goofy and a Dopey. In the Dopey she came away with six medals.

Wonderful to hear that. Saw some good reports from mark’s wife on FB as well.

Saw that post. Great news. I imagine she is doing better than Mark is right now.

Yep, that took a special level of talent to achieve. Seeing as I own half a brick in the Poly for the next 50 years, I might as well start following them. I'll practise my chomp chomp arm motion later. GO GATORS!

Ah, that's great news.

Morning boys from 5-6 hrs in the future. Nothings happened in those 5 hrs, so as you were.

Afternoon Guys,

It's game day here, DS plays his first varsity basketball game later today. Exhibition game tonight against a prep school, the boy is pretty excited to get back on the court. Tournament coming up this weekend as well.

Busy time at work as well. Getting ready for our AGM, annual conference and annual sport awards next weekend. Looking forward to getting through the next couple of weeks.

Happy Tuesday. Still way too cold here.

Crazy or not, running the Dopey is still impressive. As for avatar, try the strategy of being first in the park or early morning ADR if you can drag her out of bed that early. :faint:

I need to start planning ADRs with DW for June trip. I think she wants to add a few days on at the Vero Beach Resort following the week at the Boardwalk. Should be fun.

A whole half a brick? That's a lot of points! :lmao:

Can you send me the winning lottery numbers from the future?

We went to Vero several years ago. We went in August and it was sea turtle nesting time (not sure if June is as well). That and renting the jetskis were both cool.

Good luck to Declan....

Good luck to declan's dad....

Yeah, you're probably right, maybe a quarter of a brick

Got the dreaded "can you see me after school" note from the teacher. Apparently the curly haired ninja has been practising her skills in class. So she is now at Malificent on the "good girl for xmas" chart (they are ranked in terms of good to bad, with Mary P at the top). :sad2:
We had to have a little chat, which is always fun with a 4 and a half year old. According to her, her little mate wouldn't stop saying butt, so she clocked her one. At least I know I'll have some backup at West Ham if it all kicks off. Happy days in London.

More planning going on. Her ticket is renewed and last 2 days of FPs are acquired. Did get Avatar for Tuesday and Rivers of Light, both neither of us have seen. The flaw in the plan is no FPs for the MK during the trip. Monday we will be doing the afternoon at Studios and I thought they would have longer waits than the lines at MK in the morning. So we will be doing at least one MK rope drop, maybe two.

Welcome to the club. Remember when you do the CHOMP it is right hand over left.

Heavy rumor is Chip Kelly will be named the new coach. Not sure how much college background you have 007 but he is the former coach at Oregon went to the NFL and bombed out there. He had a bit of an issue with not following the recruiting rules and got into a little trouble. A lot of people are excited, I'm not so sure. He would bring instant credibility to the Gators but there is the NCAA issue and I hear he is a bit of an a$$. Not sure how long he is going to stick around either.

The Dopey was impressive. We got up at stupid O'clock 4 straight days. At least she got the medals, I got squat.

We do lots of rope drops and she is not much of a problem getting up. The real problem is the time she takes getting ready.

That is becoming a regular add on with you guys and have to admit, it is a pretty good add on.

General rule is March thru October. Some species come in earlier than others. Once the eggs are laid, they take 45-90 days to hatch. Have not seen a hatching yet, but one of these days.
