YAy @Lesley Wake I'm reading her TR

We finally headed over to 7DMT, where the transition from hot to nice and cool may have caused me to take a small nap in the chair.
Funny

UHM NOT

Those burgers looked awesome at Cowfish and HHN looked like a blast

:scared1:Josh!!!! That donkey has been through some...stuff! :rotfl:

I like to think I do pretty good impressions but I don't do it outside my house :rotfl2:

I would love to try to do HHN but I would need some liquid courage first!

I thought you might appreciate this... I found some Brazilian cheese bread in the freezer section at the store, so I grabbed it and baked it tonight. Zack still won't eat it. He described it as tasting like walking through a livestock barn with your mouth open (with sawdust and ... other stuff) and said he'd rather drink Beverly.

:confused3

Love your breakfast pictures..........those characters are excellent! Gotta love a Minion and Scooby......

Don’t you just hate pushy people..........but your food looked so good, Islands breakfasts are fantastic!

Look forward to your wrap up post........:thumbsup2

Josh went with one of the unique gluten free breakfast options:

Gluten Free Breakfast Pizza-
Turkey sausage, peppers, mushrooms, two eggs sunny side up

He enjoyed this. He likes when they have gluten free items that he can't get everywhere.
Yeah, I can imagine he'd get tired of the same old things everywhere!

I never want to get in everyone's way or ask someone to move so I can take a picture. Plus this wasn't just all food sitting out in the open, it was in containers with covers so I'd have to lift the cover of each one to take a picture.
With covers, it'd definitely be difficult! I think all of the Disney ones I went to had just platters, so it was easier to take a photo-basically had plate in one hand, phone in the other. Then I would put the plate on the counter to grab a serving utensil. But we also had the benefit of not many people; I think we did 3 buffets (Crystal Palace, Tusker House, and Boma), and only Boma was crowded. Oh, and the dessert parties, but those were easier to grab photos of!

Let's just say there was a lot of cutting in line, and people getting into the line that planned to order omelets for everyone in their entire family. The lady in front of me placed about 5 different orders, and the cook was only working with about 4 burners. I was a bit annoyed with that as that's one thing I've never experienced at other buffets with make your own omelets. These also seemed like pretty involved omelets with A LOT of choices of what to put in them, and took about 5 mins each to cook.

Also I spotted some cheese cubes while I was waiting and grabbed them.
Of course you did!:jester:

Our second one was for Buzz, but sadly I had a faulty gun again :sad2:
I did too this trip :( DH got galactic hero and I only got like 50,000...

Wondering what to do next we headed to the Peoplemover, and for the first time the line was just too long for us.

Um, what?

Josh wanted something to drink so we headed into Cosmic Ray's. Instead of having him wait in line while he was parking me I just mobile ordered the lemonade :rotfl: He didn't think that would be necessary but it was ready in like 2 minutes! (Besides I wanted to see what it was like). I definitely recommend mobile ordering.
I love mobile ordering. I use it whenever possible! Now if only the Starbucks at Cabana Bay would let you order from the app...

The Cowfish Has Officially Left The Building
Full-pound beef burger, creamy peanut butter, fried bananas, applewood bacon, brioche bun

That burger is INSANE! How do you even eat a burger that big?!

AHS was a lot of fun. They were really good at popping out of whatever direction you weren't looking in. The guy in front of me and I were getting so scared, that we even screamed when we walked into a TM in the corner :rotfl: I felt like there were a lot of rooms with smells in this house, and my only issues were that 1. the Roanoke portion was very small, and 2. that characters were all portrayed as menacing even ones that weren't on the show. There were so many scares though and this was definitely my favorite so far.
I enjoyed AHS, although I do have to say I thought last years was better.

Back through The Purge! (Which we definitely think works better as a scare zone).
I agree. I wish they would have just done away with it in Blumhouse and added more from Sinister.

Scarecrow the Reaping was pretty good, although I do think Josh ran over a scare actor a bit with the chair. If you're keeping count this was probably the 4th time we ended up going the wrong way in one of the houses.
Scarecrow was my FAVORITE original house. Probably because I had one of the best run throughs I’ve ever had in a haunted house. It felt like the cares we’re specifically timed for me. I have to say that I felt the original houses outshined the IP houses this year, IMO.

Back through Trick R' Treat!

If you’re ever looking for a good omelet for less money, that looks just like the one I got at the omelet station at CBBR!

But I do really like that they aren't differently priced just rotated through the 3 restaurants, and this one had so many characters.
The rotation thing is a nice idea, because if you really had no interest in the characters I'm sure you could plan out your day to go. And what a fun surprise if you don't know!
Gluten Free Breakfast Pizza-

This looks like it would be good except it's ruined with runny eggs! :crazy2:
Tahitian French Toast a L’Orange-
Caramelized bananas, sweet cinnamon butter
Disgustingly sweet breakfast so you feel sick the entire way home? Sounds good to me! :thumbsup2
I totally failed at getting buffet pictures though. How do people do it?
I feel awkward enough taking pictures at my table. Of course, Zack doesn't help because he likes to give me crap because he knows it makes me feel more awkward :rotfl: I tried to take a fe
Well I had really wanted to try that cinnamon butter on the french toast, but I really wanted the buffet. Our waiter helped with my dilemma by offering to bring some cinnamon butter/bananas over.
Yay!
I figured I could just grab a few more of things I really liked, but for some reason when I went back up they were swapping some things out for different foods (like the french toast sticks). I ended up just grabbing more potatoes, and what they replaced the french toast sticks with. I assumed (one should never do this at a buffet) it was a crepe like snack with cream cheese filling. IT WAS NOT! It was filled with a lemon ricotta filling, and I am not a lemon person :crazy2:
1. Why would you replace french toast sticks with potatoes? :confused3
2. NOOOOOOO, not lemon! I'm not a lemon person either. Last year in DLR, I kept picking up lemon desserts on accident :crazy2:
Once we finished Scooby and Shaggy came by.

These were my favorite characters to meet in USH, along with Doc Brown.
After a fun and delicious meal at Islands, we were headed to the airport.

Bye Royal Pacific!
I still have a few more vlogs,
a wrap up post,
and a hotel comparison post/maybe video now that we've stayed at all 5 Universal hotels.
I'm excited to see your hotel comparison since you are my go-to USO expert :confused3

I made a bit of a mistake here as we had gotten a wheelchair when we walked into the park, but I had planned to walk through the houses assuming that would be easier for everyone involved. However at the first house I realized not only did the TM's have to move the chair through the house for you if you got out of it, but AHS had an inner queue that I ended up standing in because I gave them my wheelchair at the door thinking that's where the house started.

Oh no, that's too bad!

Our vlog from this day
and a surprise character meal!

Cool! We've never done a character meal at USO.

H40dLsel.jpg

it was another character meal! :rotfl: We always seem to stumble on these at Universal. (Also that's the shirt I bought when we went over to Disney the day before).

I like these shirts! I almost got one line it last time we were there, but I didn't end up getting it.

I totally failed at getting buffet pictures though. How do people do it?

2gBJMp9l.gif

Really though! I always wonder this! I'm lucky if I can get a decent picture of my own plate, let alone the actual buffet.

Ooh, I'm interested in this. Can't believe you've stayed at them all now!

we just got back from HHN - loved it. So glad we streamed Trick R Treat the night before going - that scare zone was not just beautiful, but nailed the movie characters well! (HHN didn't have an icon this year - but to me, it was Sam!) Bonus: he was the only character I had to kneel down to pose with - since I'm short! Gotta love that.) :teeth:

Sooo...#1 on my wish list for next year - a Stranger Things House. They could do so much with that.:scared1::scared1:

Looking fwd to your hotel review - we've only stated at RPR - which I loved.

It was great and really beautiful!

We had some ideas about TV based houses they could do...:scratchin Supernatural would be a fun one. I've never seen Stranger Things, but it's on my list.

Great editing on your vlog! Sad to see the airport though... it's only a happy place when you're going TO not FROM
