Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Last shot... Anyone interested in sharing an IllumiNations fireworks cruise this Sunday, August 16. We're a family of 3 and have up to 5 spots available. We'll split the cruise 50/50 with another family. The cruise leaves from the Yacht Club dock at 8:00 PM and park admission is not required.

Good luck Martin!

Please help with a couple logistics questions:

1. How/Where can I check-in for flight 24 hours before departure flight, and get printed boarding passes? I'm Southwest and we all paid for Early Bird Check-in.
2. Can I bring gummy bears in carry-on? TSA in Orlando took my France souvenir's of mustard and solid fondue - I may have messed up on the mustard, but chocolate that you need to melt in a microwave seemed overly unacceptable....so I am never certain of what I can bring.

1. Our last 4 trips we have flown Southwest. On departure morning our boarding passes with check in confirmation have been printed and slipped under our door with our final bill/receipt.

If you paid for EB, you don't have to worry about checking in at T-24 for your boarding number/pass. I have always picked up my Southwest boarding pass at the resort airline check-in counter, which is located outside the front entrance at the BC. They close promptly at 1:00 p.m. daily. Sorry, I don't know where it's located at YC. You can get the BP at the desk whether or not you are checking your bags there; just make sure to have your confirmation number and legal picture I.D. for each passenger getting a BP.

As for the gummy bears, the TSA website says they are allowable in your carry-on; I would print the page and carry it with you, as not all TSOs are familiar with all of the rules and regulations.

I have heard that some food items, which are extremely dense, look the same as explosives, when scanned. Those include large pieces of cheese and chocolate.

The TSA site will allow you to search for many different items to see if they are allowable as carry-ons.

Have a great trip!

We always fly Southwest and remembering to check in 24 hours ahead of time has been a real pain. On our February trip with the grandchildren I completely forgot to do it until later that night. When I finally remembered to log into the SWA app on my iPhone we ended up with just about the last boarding number. There were only 12 people who got on behind us and I pictured my grandchildren sitting in middle seats all by themselves. Fortunately our son got a seat next to one boy and DH got a seat next to another. I got a window seat in the front of the plane and I was in heaven, but that was another story. ;)

Even since then I have been purchasing the early bird check in for the return trip only. I truly hate spending the extra money but I also hate the back of the plane. I don't do it for the trip down, though.

You don't have to go to the RAC desk if all you need is a boarding pass printed. You can ask at the concierge desk at a hotel or aat Guest Relations in a theme park. You probably will need your confirmation number.

AWESOME!!!!

hope your foot is on the mend, we are loving it here! The rain coincides with evening offerings again :)

The pictures don't do it justice but we have SAB and Boardwalk it's awesome!

Refurb wise you can see the rooms on the 1st floor being done by the BC quiet pool. I can't comment on the noise because it was raining however it's not intrusive near the lobby area at all
BEAUTIFUL PIC!:thumbsup2 ENJOY your vaca; they go TOO FAST!::yes:::goodvibes

I'll be curious to hear how you liked this split. We are thinking about the same one next year.

I will definitely update the thread.

I've always loved the poly but the beach club has always been my dream resort. MK is my favorite park big there's just something about the BC.

We were initially booked for 10 nights at the BC but with the magical deal I just had to try the poly too. Who knows if I'll ever get that rate again.
