The sand was wonderful. Its really a beautiful island. Best part? There were plenty of beach chairs.
That's another good reason to sail the smaller ships in my opinion.
So I talked to Pam..... and this is how it went down:
When Pam got back to the ship, she ran into the Parent who said she was so upset because AC had stolen her KTTW card and bought 9-10 drinks that afternoon on
Castaway Cay.
Now when I was at the bar it was ACSO buying the drinks not her which makes it even more crazy. Anyway....
The parent claimed she hadn't bought that many drinks the entire trip.
When Pam got to dinner, Joshua and I were already there as were the two minor children. The parent and ACSO showed up but AC never came to dinner. They received two calls during dinner that caused them to leave the table......
You ready?
The first was that AC had been arrested in the room.
The second call was that she had been taken down to the health center on the ship. Neither the parent or ACSO came back after the second call. The two minor children stayed with us during the remainder of dinner.
Before ACSO left the table for the final time, he confirmed that AC never acts like this and he'd never seen her like this in the 6+ months they've lived together. Uh huh.
After he left the sibling of AC piped in and said that ACSO is like this all the time.
True story folks......I may be getting ahead of myself but since I've got the info and all.....
While we were leaving the dining room we ran into Beth and Chase, who we spent our Cozumel day with, and they confirmed the naughty behavior on CC that day. Chase and Joshua chatted about seeing the midnight premiere of Captain America which he did see with his friends.
The plan after dinner was for Pam and I to meet with up with our friends Jennifer and Carroll. Jennifer is the woman in the pic with me. Her daughters are in the photo with Joshua at CC. Super cute family. Really like them and we stay in touch on FB.
When Pam arrived I was chatting with them at Quiet Cove pool. The parent was also there chatting with us telling us the whole sorted story. I stand by that she was very likable but just had what appeared to be a pretty enmeshed relationship and odd boundaries. All families have drama for sure but this was over the top.
She shared more drama. Apparently AC, during room arrest, fought the security folks resulting in being restrained and handcuffed. Security had to stay outside the room which resulted in a $300 charge.
I know, I know, and Pam can verify every last detail. It saddens me that someone's cruise could end up so horrible but I guess this was there 6th or 7th cruise so maybe they didn't appreciate it like us newbies.
Pam and I still talk about how totally wacky this all was. It didn't dampen our fun in the slightest. People are people everywhere.
