It's a blustery 80 degrees here. But windy and dry! Love the dry! We are going to a 3 year old's b'day party next weekend with the same theme. I am excited! :thumbsup2

Oh sure, rub it in :snooty:. I woke up to a cold house that is 65 degrees :cold:.

I will be with my 4 yr old and 15 mo old and I've been thinking about the same thing! :scratchin I was thinking of going directly to FLE. Enchanted tales w/Belle will have FP right? I think this area will get busy quickly so I'd like to get it down first thing!

Another thing I've been worried about...Does everyone that goes to the story time w/Belle get to play a part?

There was a blogger last week that said not everyone got parts in his session and kids were crying. He did confirm that everyone got to meet Belle, part or not. I suspect they'll make more parts to prevent that from happening going forward.

So, this huge delicious looking Pork Shank available at Gastons Tavern ... do you think it will be on a snack credit? I consider it a snack :teeth:

I am having the same debate with myself. I really don't want to have to carry my camera bag everywhere it gets HEAVY.

I will probably bring two lenses but I rarely carry more than one in the park. I am a park minimalist. I don't like to carry a bag or backpack that I have to shift on rides. So everything I carry has to fit in my LowePro top-loader with the chest harness.

My TA (yes, I booked with a TA...before I learned of the DIS) is trying to convince me into adding park hoppers onto our tickets. I'm not sure when we'd use it based on our schedule. I'm gonna ask her when she thinks we would use it. I'm torn about it. Thoughts?

You have a pretty clear plan, unless you envision a specific use, it's just an extra expense.

If you are scheduled for a NPH night then I would DEFINITELY do the package. That way you get in the CP Package line which is way shorter.

I second this. Even though the package line will still be really long, it will be loads shorter than standby, and with the package line that long who even knows how many from the standby line will even get in. I'd consider the premium on the package meal a small price to pay to get to see NPH live & in person!

Happy Saturday All! I've noticed that WDW hasn't put out a numbered map of the Fantasyland Expansion. They love their secrets!

Soooo, I made one in Photoshop by combining the hi-res graphic that Disney gave out and information provided by talented and dedicated DISboarder Robo who has been keeping up on attraction locations on a sattelite map. Here is a board-friendly version:

Wow - great work!! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see it. :)

It's weird, some people say DHS doesn't take a full day, and others say they need two days. I'm incredibly confused as to how to plan our day(s) there. My TA has us there for an AM EMH + most of the day for one day (before heading to a 6PM showing of Cirque du Soleil), plus another full day later in the week.

DHS is the least cohesive of the parks. It's a weird mix of things so it totally depends on what you're into. The trickiest part of planning DHS is scheduling the three shows (LMA, B&B, IJ) plus the parade. If you're seeing all those and riding the headliners - TSM, RNRC, ToT, Star Tours - now you're almost at a full day. If you're seeing characters (Buzz & Woody, Lightning, random characters in the Art of Animation Building) that adds more time. Fantasmic sucks up a couple hours; we usually do that on one of our Epcot days. And now we haven't even talked about the non-headliner rides. Plus there are a few things geared to little kids that you can't/won't do - Jedi Training and Disney Junior.

For us, I've done the thrill rides and they weren't my favorites. Since the test of the family won't ride, they're skippable. We went last year and rode everything else, saw the shows and met the characters. Took a full day plus two partial to do everything including Fantasmic and Jedi. None of those really thrilled us enough to repeat except TSM (for DS) and Fantasmic. So we're only planning to see those plus the things that have changed since our last trip: Star Tours (closed last time), Muppets (refurb), Osborne (this is our first Christmas trip). So we'll hit a few things in the morning, then come back one evening. We'd just rather spend more time at the other parks.

I should also mention that people feel the same way about AK. Some people do it in a half day. But for us it's a day and a half at least. But that all depends on how much you want to stop and see every animal. If you're mainly focusing on traditional attractions you're done by 3pm.

And here is a link to the big version CLICK HERE

Enjoy! :goodvibes

And since we're on the subject of DHS, I've done some combing of the thread and haven't found an answer to a question so I'll put it here and see what y'all have to say on the matter:

Is it really possible to see the turn on of the Osborne Lights and enjoy it ...and catch Fantasmic!? Or is it possible to watch Fantasmic! and still have enough time to go over and really take in the lights?

Thanks for the map. I was just wondering if the made new ones. I always keep a copy in Evernote and its driving me nuts that they're not updated. I wonder if they'll wait until the Grand Opening?

I don't think you could realistically catch the turn- on and Fantasmic (if there's only one show). We decided we didn't want to see the lighting anyway. The ceremony seems to be nothing special and it's most crowded then. The lights don't go off until half an hour after park closing so there's plenty of time after.

Can you change us on roll call for the 3rd to Boardwalk Villas? Never been there before, but we decided to give it a try this time. Hopefully this will be our last change :)

We are getting so excited. So much work left to do, but the new FLE pics are making me unable to do much else other than plan!

We'll be arriving at BWV the same day!!! :)

BWV is our favorite mostly because have location. Where have you stayed before?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm making sure to have my LGMH tag on my hip pouch, aka fanny pack, and possibly on my back pack as well. I know Home Depot doesn't have them anymore, but if you Google it and click on images, you will get a lot of LGMH's from the here that can be used to make one.

There's an official holiday one on this thread. :)

And now I'm all caught up. Only took me an hour to catch up from 4pm yesterday. Good thing I planned this morning to sleep in and be lazy. ;)

Now I should probably go for a run. I've been really bad this past week since the weather went from 80 to 45. Yikes! I don't mind running in the cold but I just wasn't prepared for the shift. We're back to 50-60 now.

I'm so sorry to be leaving this group! I had to take advantage of the play/stay/dine offer, so now I'm travelling 1/2-1/11 and staying at POP rather than AOA -- I figure I can go visit AOA anyway. I'll miss out on my first NYE at WDW, but that will wait until another year. Enjoy your trips!

Have a great trip!

It's a COLD, FROSTY morning here in PA. We have a 2 year olds birthday party to go to today. His momma is a Disney fanatic too and the party theme is Mickeys clubhouse. I can't wait to see it, she said she's doing a 'hot dog bar' for food, lol. Gotta love Pinterest

Here too, cold and frosty... outside it is currently 49 and its only supposed to get to 64 today!

We also have a birthday party to attend no disney theme this year but its outside and I think DD is coming down with a cold so trying to figure out what to wear is driving me a little crazy. I would skip it but its family so I gotta go.

Who doesnt love Pinterest! :confused3

Yeah I don't know what lense to leave behind... (sigh) I carried mine around for a few hours at a pumpkin festival last week and seems pretty good for me. Plus when I need to I can always put it in the stroller....

ME!!

I have been on a few times to check it and see how it will work for me but I just look at it and I'm like  INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love the internet & technology .... I'm all techno'd up but if I'm real about it, I can do without half the stuff I bookmark.

So all this camera talk has me excited to bring my DSLR this trip. We moved to picturesque NH and I stopped taking pictures (lots of emotional stuff, losing my dad, PPD, just life has been off for 6 years) So still working through stuff but trying to do some things I loved before. So, my big dilemma I don't want to carry a large camera bag but I have 3 lenses and a flash... It's tight though... So my big debate, larger camera bag (no!) 2 lenses ( :( )

Okay, so now you're talking my language!!! I have a lot of catching up to do since last night.....my oh my, everyone has been so chatty (which is funny to me because my nickname has always been Chatty Kathy) :rotfl: I just bought this camera bag from eBags dot com. http://www.ebags.com/product/case-logic/medium-slr-camera-bag/133827?productid=1347180 It has side pockets to fit two extra lenses and the camera holder itself is genius because it allows your camera to be suspended, thus protecting it from any shock. My favorite part is the bottom, which is a flat plastic in case you want to put it down on the ground (don't leave it though)! I have the medium but there is a smaller and larger version. It isn't any bigger than my purse and the zippered pocket in the front could hold your phone/fast passes/KTTK. Case Logic is the brand and they have lots of bags to choose from to suit your needs. I plan to bring my 80-300 mm zoom lens and my 50 mm lens in addition to the kit lens that came with my camera. I don't have an external flash though...not sure where that would fit in this particular case. I think you can fit a fold up or mini tripod, though.....check it out!
