2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

We did the Wishes Desssert Party last June and loved it. We took my niece and nephew for their first Disney trip and we booked the party. It was great not having to wait for hours for the parade and Wishes only to have someone push in front of us right before it started. They desserts were good, the seats were incredible. Tinkerbell flew right over us. We would do it again. I would recommend lining up about 30-45 minutes before it starts. That way you can get your armband and to the desserts as soon as they walk you to your table.

We ended up with over an inch of rain and only about 2 inches of snow...missed the bullet but had that inch of rain been snow we would have been buried under almost 2 feet of snow. The caretaker at our cabin said they got about 3 feet there...sounds like a great skiing Christmas...

I spent the day wrapping reveal phase 2 package and packing. This morning I slipped and slided all the way to school with the kids to drop them off...they had no idea that I was coming home after I dropped them off...I was so giddy and happy all the way thinking about packing...strange, huh that packing could cause so much :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes! I still have Jeff to pack, but basically I am done...now I get to sit back and see if the kids realize anything is missing out of their drawers!:rotfl2:

We should line up 30 minutes before our ADR or before they let the first people in? I am not sure when it opens, our ADR is at 8 pm.

:woohoo:So excited about Tinkerbell...do you have to sit at your table for the fireworks or do you move to the railing?

4. Christmas Story Tellers in Epcot

Our first day at WDW is not going to be all about the rides…it is going to be about Christmas and taking in all that we can during the afternoon with the the Christmas Story Tellers…gotta make the trip educational too…there goes that teacher in me again. I really am looking forward to hearing about Christmas around the world and exploring the World Showcase as we zig and zag back and forth throughout the day…making sure everyone has their walking (errr running shoes on that day)!

The story teller schedule is the same that I posted when it started. We haven't had the chance to listen to any of them. In passing we heard declarations of Gul Yule from Norway, but we didn't stop. Also heard parts about Los Posados as we passed Mexico one of our trips by there. There were so many people there the night "Doogie" narrated. Do you know if they still pose for pictures with the kids like they use to? We have awesome pictures of Grumpy from years ago with the story tellers.

Thanks Tink....that is nice to know about the schedule. I am not sure about posing for pictures...we probably will skip that part because we will be rushing off to the next one trying to get all the Christian based ones in for the day

Am amazed everytime I get caught up with your PTR, the advent calendar activities, the movie nights... you should start a blog or something to assist the rest of us with ideas of how to effectively interact with our children. :goodvibes

Such great memories you are making!!! Have a good week!!!

You really are god and you should continue being good after this trip to come up with some ideas for our girls only trip!

Okay this is me catching up....
Oh my I can't even imagine if I didn't have the paperwork! These puppies are so cute, but such a disaster! I'm glad though that Jeff found them!
Searching for hiddeen Mickey's was fun, but I don't think that my son quit understood the concept! Every Mickey he saw he would think is a hidden Mickey-- EVEN MICKEY!!!! And as much as I tried to explain this he just didn't get it!
Damien has been asking when we are going to do our movie nights again... I hope we do, but I love your shrek tortellini I would have just bought green ones, I didn't know that they would take the dye from the water!
The castle details were so nice! And although I didn't see the CP I heard it from afar and it was very nice! The kids that sang in the choir were pretty nice too as they stood in lines with us a few times!
I am so sorry that Ab was having the troubles with the girls at school! Girls can be so mean and it never stops in highschool! I'm not sure of what else to say other than I'm sorry for her (and you) going through this! Maybe they are just jealous? And if that's the case I hope that Ab can try to understand this and ignore it? Amy says it greatly though and I hope that she has given you some ideas of your own to help your little girl!
Now onto your 100 days stuff! The snacking/drinking around the world may be quit easy for your family because you have 5, K and I tried it and we were TOO FULL from some of the protions to get anything in the next country! I have to say though that the nachos in Mexico were SO GOOD- they have jalapenos, but they are easy to take off!
I am sorry that we missed your dancing.... I hope that you danced all around your house though thinking of the fun your going to have!
I am glad that you were able to talk to the other school and have that open as an option for her! And hopefully though the current school will change for the better!
Those are really great clues and I couldn't figure some of them out and I know about your trip and ideas and such!
For the beverly I would have them stand outside with Jeff and call them in one at a time because you can stand in a way that people outside can't see you-- then have Jeff be the last victim!
That is perfect that you got a flight that's playing a movie based on your trip on board!!! PERFECT! Story tellers are nice, make sure that you have the boys sit in the front! And really try to get them to see the one in Norway (but you and Jeff should try to stand closer to the stage too)!

We should line up 30 minutes before our ADR or before they let the first people in? I am not sure when it opens, our ADR is at 8 pm.

Our ADR was for 8:00 also. We walked over to the Terrace about 7:00 and kinda waited around. People started lining up shortly after we got there, so we got in line around 7:15. The CM's started putting armbands on around 7:45. You need these to get into the party and also to get back into the party if you need to use the bathroom. The bathrooms are located outside the party in the Tomorrowland Terrace(I think it is called that). They started letting people into the party at 8:00.

Yes, it's Tomorrowland Terrace. And if those restrooms are full, there is another set of restrooms heading towards The Plaza Restaurant.

They only talk for ten minutes so if you're fast walkers and time it right you will actually have time to get the photos as well.

I crossed on more thing off my TO DO LIST today...the bank!!! I cashed in our change jar.

Any guesses to how much $$$ was in it?

It weighed 38.5 pounds and I had been saving for almost a year...only a few times did I ever use my change! I also withdrew money for my tip envelopes...now to get those envelopes stuffed!

moneymoneymoney.jpg

I also had to get 1 more suitcase. I know...but I decided I would rather have 4 large suitcases and pay for them going then to have 3 large suitcases to check and 2-3 carry ons to deal with.

Those are some pretty lucky spenders!!!! Are you giving them a budget? We gave Damien one and other than the lego store (we said no more than $30 and we walked out with $50) he was pretty good with his budget!

I did something like that for my pocket money. My daddy years ago got me a 3 litre vodka bottle from the pub that he made into a savings bottle and I filled it with the change in my purse every week and when I counted it in November there was 530 euro in it which got just under 700 dollars!

I just saw on Amiee's TR where you said y'all are doing Via Napoli. Didn't remember you saying y'all were doing that one...

Suggestions...

The Ricotta ball appetizer was to die for! But it was only 3 medium meatball sized balls.

The family salad that was an extra $6 per person... was the absolute BEST part of our meal...

The pizza.... we really we not fans. Not even my mom and she LOVES thin crust pizza

Zepolli was AMAZING!
