Oh My! – The Brits Are At It Again! **COMPLETED** 11/13/11

Love the review! We are checking in at BWI around 7pm and I think we are going to hit up B&C as well...nice to know what the wait time will be, hopefully we can be seated at the counter in 20 minutes too!

I'm joining in late, Linda, but I have been away on a course those last two days.

LOVE your review of B&C! You DH burger looks pretty yummy to me and I did not know they made "mini" :rotfl2: versions of their ice-cream creations. I need to look into that! ;)

Can't wait for more!

You're back!!! Can't wait to read more of your reviews!!

:welcome: thanks for joining in, I hope to be able to post a new review each day

B&C is such a tiny place, it doesn't take many people to fill it but nobody seemed to want to sit at the counter :confused3
We loved sitting there, it made the dinner really fun

Thanks for joining in Karin :goodvibes
The "mini" versions are a great idea, the CM basically made us a sundae sized portion and that's what they charged us for
The normal No Way Jose is just HUGE :scared1:

Oooh! I'm drooling over those burger and sundae!!! In fact, I'm going to make a burger for myself tonight! :rotfl2:

How did I miss this???:scared1:

I hang my head in shame....:sad2:

I'm so in Linda! Can't wait to hear about all your dining experiences! :yay:

I want a mini No way Jose!!

Great Reviews so far! We are definitely going to B&C on our next trip. That No Way Jose looks FANTASTIC!! I love chocolate and peanut butter! :lovestruc

But forget the "mini" version. I am getting the regular and then "sharing" with DH (that is code for " I will give him one bite and that is it!")

Terri

Well picking up where our trip left off on Oct 7th (we departed the 8th)

Now I am tuning in for your reviews Linda ;)

Mmm the pic of the No Way Jose is bringing back memories! The mini version looks like a similar size to the original one I had :rolleyes1

yay, you started another dining review. That ice cream looks yummy!:goodvibes

:welcome: thanks for stopping by, the ice cream sure was yummy!

If I hadn't just pigged out on a burger I could have easily gone for the full size No Way Jose - it was sooooo yummy :cloud9:

Yep there wasn't much that was "mini" about it

Breakfast In The Virgin Atlantic Lounge - London Gatwick

Just to get in the full vacation mood I had a glass of Champagne with breakfast before our flight :cloud9:

If only every day could start this way

Saturday 8th October Part One

Partly due to my body clock still being on U.K time, today started off with a run around the Boardwalk which was just wonderful; what a great location to watch the sun rise :cloud9:

DH was still snoring away in bed (no problems with jet lag for him) so after I had showered I headed to the Boardwalk Bakery to re-fill our mugs and pick up some breakfast

IMG_5148.jpg

There was no line inside the bakery; it didn’t seem to get busy until around 8.30am so for all you early risers you shouldn’t have too much time to wait

Right, decisions, decisions

IMG_4990.jpg

I swear that just breathing in the aroma inside the bakery could make you go up a dress size but hey I have just been for a run so let’s forget about any healthy breakfast options

I picked up a couple of treats and headed back to the villa to wake sleepy head and enjoy breakfast on the balcony

I opted for this delicious beauty

Cheese Danish

Oh this was divine, really fresh and not too sweet. It was just perfect with my not so perfect Disney “coffee”

I couldn’t resist getting this for DH

Mickey Cake

I managed to steal just a mouthful for research purposes before he devoured the whole thing; the chocolate frosting was amazing and the white cake inside was wonderfully light and fluffy with specks of red and green food colouring running through it …Mmm calories and e-numbers :thumbsup2

Full of sugar and ready to go we decided to head over to Epcot for our first morning and breakfast number two!

Coming up ……….. Sunshine Seasons

Looking forward to your review of the Wild Africa Trek food! We did the tour a couple of weeks ago and loved it and curious to see of what others think!
Love your reviews so far~:)

Count me in. Great start! We noticed the same thing about the Boardwalk Bakery on our last trip. No problems in the early morning, but if you wanted something right around peak breakfast time the line was :scared1: :scared1: Seemed to move quickly, but still a scary sight first thing in the a.m. :goodvibes

Ann

Boardwalk Bakery is the one place we never ended up getting to experience. What a way to start your first day :thumbsup2

That Mickey cake looks yummy and if you can't enjoy calories and e-numbers whilst on vacation when can you?

Reading your report and seeing the photos just makes me wish I was there (eating it all!!!) :goodvibes

What a view from your balcony - were you in a studio?

Wild Trek Africa should be coming up soon as we did this on our second full day :thumbsup2

I am usually up at first light in the mornings so didn't have a problem with lines but I have heard that the lines can stretch down the Boardwalk at peak times

I'm in!
The boardwalk area is where I'd love to stay if we ever manage to stay onsite!

It was a perfect location, especially with Food & Wine taking place at Epcot and we loved the walk to DHS :cloud9:

You must do BWB on your next trip, the cupcakes will make your eyes pop out

What a view from your balcony - were you in a studio?

Yep, we had a studio and the view was wonderful
It was a lovely quite location and was the first room down the hall from the elevators
When we came down in the morning you came out right by the pool and the Boardwalk - perfect :cloud9:

Saturday 8th October Part Two

Now anyone who was anywhere near WDW on Saturday October 8th will know that following the early morning sunrise it started to rain, and it rained and it rained and it rained some more but hey, we are British; we are well used to the rain

We put on our ever so stylish white garbage bags, I mean ponchos, and took the short walk from the Boardwalk Villas to Epcot’s International Gateway

After a soggy hour or so running around Future World we decided we needed to dry off a little and grab a bite to eat so we headed to Sunshine Seasons in The Land

DH decided he wanted to try the breakfast platter

IMG_4998.jpg

Adult Breakfast platter - Bacon, Eggs, Sausage, French Toast, Potatoes and a Biscuit

His verdict was that the eggs, sausage and French toast were all great but the bacon was horrible (no change there then) and he thought that the biscuit was far too salty, I can’t remember what he said about the potatoes but he did finish them all

He also grabbed a coke and I loved the Halloween cups

IMG_4999.jpg

I wasn’t terribly hungry but really wanted to try this:

IMG_5000.jpg

Croissant Berry Pudding

This was delicious but unfortunately by the time we had paid and found a table it wasn’t very hot, it was yummy all the same and a nice little breakfast option :)

After breakfast we headed off to check in for our Behind The Seeds Tour and as this is a dining review I will include a picture of my next little snack on the tour

IMG_5005.jpg

The Land Cucumber

So there you have it, not only have I been for a run this morning but I have also eaten something green, I am just so virtuous :lmao:
