Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

I don't teach but this year, I think I am more excited than Jeremy! We have 2 weeks left to go!! :dance3:

:banana:Yay for your last day Jackie!!!

Did I see that you were going to Tybee Island? If so, will there be some Paula Deen cooking in your trip?

I think the teachers in my school get more excited than the kids. ;)

I know the teachers at my school do :goodvibes It doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me since I work 12 months, but it sure is a lot more quiet ;)

On Good Morning America this morning the preview of Stars Tours was on. The new ride sounds pretty cool, I'll have to check it out in Sept.

That beach cottage that you will be in soon keeps calling me. I'm going to look those up some day!

I overheard a teacher in the copy room saying she was going to Tybee Island this summer. I can't remember who it was or when they are going, but as soon as she said Tybee Island, my ears tuned in. She's not staying in a cottage, though - just a regular hotel, I guess.

Now it's going to be stuck in my mind - Who in the world was that????

Hope you made it through the last day of school quite nicely. All of the awards your kids got should have helped it end with a smile. If yesterday had been my last day, it would have ended with a student pulling down his pants and a cat fight between two girls. I'm glad it wasn't my last day. I'm hoping to end the year on a positive note. ;)

Jackie - congrats on finishing another school year. Brian doesn't graduate until June 8th. Doesn't that sound so far away?

1 week until the Beach! I bet you can't wait. I'll follow on FB but I hope you post some pix here as well!

Hi Jackie! I noticed that you post on a ton of other PTR/TR so I thought I'd stop by and check yours out! I saw your at 72 pages already..thanks for the chapters :) I'm off to read now!!!!

Aww I'm sorry you had to cancel the trip :( When I read your siggie, I assumed that you had upgraded to BC/YC..:( The beach sounds fun though! We're going to Vero Beach in June for 3 nights/4 days but at staying at the Disney Resort. We've never been there before and haven't been to Hilton Head in 14 years so it will be nice to go to a beach but have a little bit of Disney before the beach and a little bit after the beach!

Yay for summer vacation!!! Now, you can get into beach planning!

We have 23 school days left and so many events, including The Amazing Race, Seussical, China Day, Colonial Day, and the Harlem Renaissance Festival. :faint:

Have a great last day! We did vote on the salary freeze with our union approving it , but we have to wait for the school board to approve it. Basically, I just donated thousands to the school... which simply doesn't seem right, but really the other options looked worse. I am not sure why I am paying more for public school education than the shareholders; I don't live in the district. I would gladly pay higher taxes to help share the burden in my home school.

We haven't increased the milledge (spelling?) rate in our county in forever! I would gladly take an increase on my property taxes to help ease the financial straits for our school system. :sad2:

Last day! Woohoo! :thumbsup2

That book is one of our group reads on a message board I belong to. It's on my TBR list. Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I'm still working on Juliet. I've read a few books in between, but now I'm really into Juliet. It kind of lost me for a bit, but it's gotten better.

It feels very good to be finished with school. I couldn't put Juliet down -- I had to know how it all ended. :goodvibes You would probably like The Paris Wife by Paula McLain, too. It's about Hemingway's first wife and their years in Paris.

Congratulations on finishing school!!!:banana: Does the last day of school feel as good as it did as a kid? :confused3

Yes, yes, it does!!! :goodvibes

I think the teachers in my school get more excited than the kids. ;)

::yes::

I have to agree with MeMom I think I might be more excited than the students!!! Just a bit more...not much LOL!!!

Happy Last Day of School Jackie!! Enjoy!!!! I have one more week!! But its finals so I'm not stressing about that at all!!!!!!

Now you are down to just half days, right, Jen?

I don't teach but this year, I think I am more excited than Jeremy! We have 2 weeks left to go!! :dance3:

:banana:Yay for your last day Jackie!!!

Did I see that you were going to Tybee Island? If so, will there be some Paula Deen cooking in your trip?

Thanks, Erika! We are headed to Tybee, but I don't think we will be headed to Paula Deen's. We want to eat at the restaurants only the locals frequent. ;)

I know the teachers at my school do :goodvibes It doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me since I work 12 months, but it sure is a lot more quiet ;)

Yes, it is! Even on teacher workdays, it is pretty quiet.

Yay for the last day of school!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks, Jill! I am glad to be done for a couple of months.

I have been trying to avoid reading too much about the new ride since it makes me sad not to be going. I know the beach will be fun, but I sure wish I was headed to Orlando to get a souvenir R2D2 popcorn bucket. LOL!

One of my best friends is in Tybee this week with her family. She rented one of the other cottages from the same company and has been sending me these great texts and pictures. She loves it down there (it's her first time as well) and says everyone is super nice and friendly. They took the same dolphin cruise we are going to do and said they followed a family of six dolphins last night. I hope we are as lucky!

Yes, you need to end on a much better note than that!

1 week until the Beach! I bet you can't wait. I'll follow on FB but I hope you post some pix here as well!

Thanks, Mary Ellen! June 8 does sound a long way away since it means I will have been back from the beach for four days!

Welcome!!! I think a trip to Vero Beach would be a blast! I love all the activities they always seem to have going on!

:cool1: Yay for school being finished! :dance3:

12.5 days to go here!

Thanks! Not too much longer for you, either! :goodvibes

Yay for summer vacation!!! Now, you can get into beach planning!

You are going to be exhausted by the time your school year ends!!!

Jackie, you are so close to your trip.:banana:

Just four more days if we can get through the nasty weather forecast for today.

Hurrah for being done with school and for getting ready for the beach! :woohoo:

Thanks, Christine!!! You should see my to-do list -- it overwhelms me. :sad2:

HAPPY SUMMER BREAK!!!

Yup we are down to 2 half days left and of those I only have students one of the two periods and the rest are off periods! I don't even see students today until 11:15am!!!

It's going to be a crazy weekend with graduation and church but I have vowed to find time to clean my house and pack LOL!!!

I hope you're enjoying your free days!

Danielle finished on Tuesday and the teachers finished yesterday. You'll be at the beach before you know it. Enjoy your summer.

I hope you have avoided bad weather today Jackie! And that you are PACKING!!!
We are actually having a nice day so I'm going to get out and pull some of the gargantuan weeds that have popped up!!! Need to soak up some Vitamin D too!
Unfortunately, it looks like our holiday weekend is going to be wet.

My kids have 9 more days of school after today. They think it's going to take forever. I think it will fly by!

So soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are in school till 6/18, very jealous your summer has started!

Dolphin cruise, how fun will that be!

If yesterday had been my last day, it would have ended with a student pulling down his pants and a cat fight between two girls. I'm glad it wasn't my last day.

MeMom I'm sorry :upsidedow but I couldn't help but :lmao: when I read this.
