I think I may have to try Citricos this March!!

Am all caught up and am loving your reviews.

How sweet that DH booked another two nights.

Sorry to hear Jiko's was not all that. The Dessert Party looks awesome, I want those Mango Shooters :)

Looking forward to reading more :)

Wow! Everything at Cirtico's looked absolutely delicious.. especially the dessert! Definitely going to be my suggestion for our next trip.

HEY!!!! I'm loving this review! WOW!!! Happy Anniversary :)

Thank you so much!

Awesome review !! That soup sounds wonderful!!!I have o hve my steaks RARE can't stand overcooked steak !!Makes it hard when evryone else likes theirs charred!!!!:rotfl2:

The soup was amazing...DH is just starting to get into med but he is scared away if it is too red but I love it that way! Moo steak, moo!

Oh how I love Citricos!

I just had the same chicken dish 3 weeks ago! It was wonderful then and it looks wonderful now. My grandma had that same Honey Spice Cake you guys had - except they put it on this long rectangular plate and her sauce was in a separate dish. When she got it I thought the same thing - it's such a perfect autumn dessert!

That Magicale Brachetto looks and sounds wonderful! I don't think I've ever even seen a sparkling red wine before. I want to try that AND The Fairy Tale!!!

Citricos is a huge winner with us! I will have to try that Fairy Tale but I hear it is a bit dry and I am not too keen on dry wines.

It seems like another perfect day in paradise! :goodvibes

Flame Tree is wonderful. the BBQ sandwich!!

Thanks for the review of Citrico! WOW - I would not have ordered the soup either, but maybe I should - it looked yummy!!!
Both your mains looked devine and dessert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Have another fun filled day, lucky girl! :flower3:

Just another day in paradise! I never would have ordered the soup either but the boy knows what he is doing! Soooo good!

I am so glad you liked Citricos! :goodvibes It's always between that and CA Grill for my favorite restaurant, and that butternut ravioli and that honey cake would've both been what I ordered. They both looked yummy.

It was awesome, I wish we could eat there again tonight! Just roll me out of Disney!

2 extra nights at Poly CL. Your DH is amazing! :woohoo:

Loved your review of Citricos. I really must try it the next time I go. :thumbsup2

I won the hubby lottery with this one! This morning when we left the CL CM flagged us down to give us a new parking pass for the extra 2 nights, the other CM said "So this is the wife with the wonderful husband that booked her 2 extra nights" Yup thats me!

wow - that desert at Citricos look amazing :thumbsup2
Congratulations and enjoy the rest of your trip :wizard:

Thank you! I could have that dessert again it was incredible!

Loving your reviews!
Citrico's looks so good, might have to add it to my ADR list for May

I just have to say it looks a little strange to see your actual last name on your menu. Here I thought everyone referred to you as Mickeynicki and Todd.
Happy Anniversary!

Thank you for reading! Citrico's was the best, I cannot wait to eat there again....funny thing is when DH is trying to get my attention he calls me MickeyNicki :lmao:

Wow, now I don't know which I am more looking forward to ... Flying Fish or Citricos! I am happy that we are eating at both! :goodvibes Everything looks absolutely delicious!

33 days til our trip! I just cannot come soon enough!

Oh man they are both sooo good! I wish we could fit Flying Fish into our plans but we did just eat there 6 weeks ago so I was able to get my fill! Cannot wait to read all about your trip!

Citrico's looked yummy yummy yummy. That soup? I am such a sucker for any form of tableside presentation -that was RIGHT up my alley!

More, please more!

Jaime

Me too! I feel so pampered! More coming up soon, there is a storm coming through so we are taking a break and watching a movie from the CL library

Good morning Nicki!

I am so glad you are not heading home today as planned! Now we all get a few extra days so we can enjoy more of your trip as well! :jumping1:

That is so funny that you place bus roulette as we do the same thing! :lmao:

Have a great Sunday! I can't way to experience more!

Me too! To think I would be heading home right now and I am not, just sitting in my Poly Paradise thrills me to know end! Bus roulette is so much fun!

pixiedust:Oh, you just got me so excited for my night at Citrico's in February. Everything looked and sounded delicious. Can't wait! Glad you're having such a wonderful time.

Glad you liked the review, I hope you have a wonderful meal there!

You will love it, I promise! :thumbsup2

I'm baaack! We had a great day at Epcot but the dark clouds rolled in and the wind picked up so we left to go back to the resort and get a movie from the CL lounge and just chill out.

We have noticed the crowds picking up as of yesterday, the Thanksgiving crowd is moving in on us. The CL lounge this morning was a pig sty, people everywhere, all the tables were taken, no juice left, no milk, no croissants and over ripe bananas. One look and we said NO THANKS, grabbed coffee and tea and went to Capt Cooks instead. The place looked busy but it really wasnt that bad.

I had the breakfast bounty platter. The bacon was crisp, the sausage was great, lots of yummy eggs, the biscuit was soft and tasty and the potatoes were perfect! I gave the biscuit, half the potatoes and bacon to DH, and I grabbed a wonderful buttery croissant...a girl needs some breakfast that consists of pork thank you very much!

DH tried something new on the menu, like an Egg McMuffin on a bun, 2 fried eggs, Canadian bacon and cheese on little white rolls. He loved this and said he would get it over and over again if he could, if he had known this was waiting at Capt Cooks we would have been there sooner

It was a great way to start the day and then we were on our way to Epcot!

Ooooooooh.... I absolutely adore this review - I've been a follower but I have yet to reply, until this review of Citricos! DH and I were on the fence about our first night's dinner, Citricos, Narcoossee's or Artist Point (Flying Fish is already booked for later in the week)?

Well... let me tell you... after this review, hands down, we are hitting Citricos! :goodvibes

Thank you Nicki! And tell Todd thank you too, because I desperately want that Potato Leek soup!!!

Ooooh....Mark would like what Todd had for breakfast. I can hear him saying "yum" right about now (he's on his way home from Dubuque with Markie). Although if we go with you, Poly it won't be for us--a little too rich for our blood, but we could always come meet you for breakfast. ;)

Epcot was gorgeous, the weather was cloudy but nice, the crowds not so bad.

The lines were very short until noon and then the crowds came roaring in! DH decided on San Angel Inn for lunch and that was fine with me. On the way there we spotted a new CS place right in front of Mexico

Epcot009.jpg

Epcot010.jpg

We were seated right away and had a nice little table by the water...great view

The Ditch (or the Tequila Bar but I like the other name that Lori, Brenda and the gang have dubbed it) was not open yet but lucky me they have margaritas on the menu so I opted for the Blood Orange one, the only time I have had a margarita before was the frozen variety at the Mexico CS stand and that tasted like lighter fluid so I was skeptical about trying it again....not only was it extremely tasty and sweet and strong but it was beautiful to look at..why drink water when Tequila is nearby??

Epcot005.jpg

DH was nursing a headache so he stuck to pink lemonade

Epcot021.jpg

The chips are no longer the Tostitos brand but nice thin, salty, crispy regular chips and the salsa was fantastic and had a nice kick to it

Epcot008.jpg

DH had the chicken enchiladas, they were wonderful, three huge corn tortillas stuffed with moist shredded chicken, rice and beans...he loved it and so did I

Epcot026.jpg

Epcot027.jpg

I was going to do something I wish I did last night, order appetizers as my meal. I had the chicken tostadas and the tortilla soup...the chicken tostadas were out of this world amazing, very flavorful..bursting with flavor is more like it, the shell was crisp, the chicken moist, I would def get that again.

Epcot019.jpg

The tortilla soup came in a bowl with tortilla strips, cheese, avocado and roasted pepper and they server poured the soup into the bowl...another amazing presentation but the soup was devine, velvety smooth, packed with flavor and a huge portion too...DH and I shared all three items but the winner was the soup.

Epcot020.jpg

Epcot024.jpg

Our server, Victor, was very attentive and quick to fill water and DH's drink. He noted our anniversary buttons and brought out these little treats. Vanilla ice cream and a hot churro. Neither one of us have ever tasted a churro before (I know can you believe it?) and we loved it! The perfect little dessert after a wonderful meal.

Epcot029.jpg

We will, without a doubt, go back to SAI for lunch again...we have been there twice, loved it both times! Do not really care for the dinner menu but the lunch one is perfect :thumbsup2 DH is gloating because he picked a winner.....oh boy.

After our wonderful, relaxing, delish lunch we finished off the countries. When we hit Germany we hit the motherlode! Look at the wonderful holiday treats!

Epcot032.jpg

Epcot033.jpg

Giant gummy bears as big as a man's hand! They are $6 a piece

Epcot034.jpg

We bought these gingerbread men, they are soft and spicy and wonderful! And we bought the pfefferneusse which we are the same as above!

I am very happy to report that France has the Grey Goose, Grand Marnier AND the Cosmo slushies!

Epcot052.jpg

Epcot053.jpg

And since I am a huge tea lover I bought a box of each from England

Now we are just chill-axing and DH is patiently waiting for the 5 o'clock chime for the CL lounge offerings. THe plan for dinner is the Wave but MK is open until 3 am so I would love to get to that too!

Girl, you are killing me here!

I just  the photos of all the Christmas decorations! It reminds me so much of the wonderful trip we had in 2007.

Now I need to put SAI on my list again. After reading so many horrible reviews about it (mostly dinner) we never gave it a thought. But now ....... :woohoo:

And that breakfast at Captain Cook's. Yummyyyyyyyyyyyy!! Guess we need to drive over there for breakfast one morning in February!

Enjoy the rest of your stay!!! :wizard:

Hey we can stay at the CSR, that would be great! And who knows, you may hit the lottery between now and then!

Todd is going to be getting a big head pretty soon. :rotfl2:

Ya right, we passed that part eons ago!

Oooh loving all those Christmas treats and the Christmas tea sounds yummy :)

Looking forward to reading about The Wave if you go :)

I don't think we'll ever eat at SAI again but I agree that soup is fantastic! I have started making "my" take on it at home and it is so yummy pouring the soup over the fixins!

Looking forward to the Wave!

What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon - reading about your fabulous trip. I wonder if those huge gummy bears are available all the time. My dd11 and I LOVE those. Have to have them everytime we go to the movies. Thanks as always for the wonderful reviews.
