July 28, 2007 - "Rome-ancing the Mouse Cruisers" -11 days!

We do have a DD13 but she is not coming with us on this cruise. Sorry!!
She gives us guilt about it constantly.

We have taken 2 cruises and had late dinner both times. My kids can easily eat dinner twice so eating at Plutos at 4 or 5 pm and then the show and then dinner worked great for us. Our son actually skipped dinner with us a few times in favor of meeting friends at the Teen Club. Lilly stuck with us for most of the cruise.

I just asked DH if he remembered there being any issue and his comment was, "We were stuffed for the whole cruise!"

Your point on junk food is my worry, my kids know Plutos, Goofys etc and will just go! they wouldn't wait, then would be full for Dinner,I want a family meal and get them to eat some of their Veg, Late sitting wouldnt work for us.

Of course I would immediately jump onto your table, being we will be spending so much time together, mind you- Im only thinking of you- people tend to get very attached to me once they meet me- I know how much your family will miss us during dinners- and we will have so many stories to tell -especially the ones about me being carried back to the ship due to heat exhaustion, and of course the one where I jumped into the fountains to cool off from a hot flash-!!

I need to decide this tomorrow- you know Ive been stuck on this one a long time

I willtry to update.

We have late dinner, and right now I have mis-placed my shore excursion list! What a surprise!

I called the Casaway Club phone number to inquire why we did not receive the DVD and they told me they mailed it to us in February. I find that hard to believe since people just seem to be getting them. We did get our cards a few weeks ago, but no sign of a DVD yet! The new cards are cute and the numbers are the same as the old ones, so no big deal in getting new cards...especially since they spelled my name wrong!!

I got tickets for High School Musical on Ice in early March for March, 2008!

Sallie, how is your cat doing? We lost our dog last June and it was one of the biggest heart breaks of our lives. I know how you are feeling with a sick animal. We are thinking about you!

HOT FLASH!!IN THE FOUNTAIN, and your in my car, I could understand a hot flush, and the heat and carried back, ( due to cheap Italian booze, rather than Heat) But a FLASH !! I know they allow it at the beach's, not sure at the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican is around the corner. What would the pope say!

The people who get 'attached' to you is that the POLICE, with handcuffs?

i didn't have any tummy rumbles because i ate at least 4 times a day. breakfast, lunch, supper, & dinner. i sure some days i even managed to have a snack in there.

On a cruise ship I only eat, now and again,.................................

thank you for asking She is on my lap now- has not eaten at all today, the vet said she was not in pain, I just could not leave her there to be put to sleep, I am so heartbroken, and I have that sick feeling my stomach. I am going to try to keep her home with me and her twin as long as possible. I am jsut as worried about her twin, they have inseprable for 15 years now .
Thank goodness I have this thread to keep my mind busy- at least I get a lot of laughs between the tears

I read that in California on Grad nights at Disneyland the students change splash mountain into FLASH MOUNTAIN, just about the time of the 52 foot drop and the picture being taken!!!!!!!!!!

all -just checking in - I"m a poker widow for the rest of the day. I'm jumping around and decided to check in here.

Forgot to mention 1 item. When I met up with my friends in FL, they'd just gotten off the last 7-day Magic - they said - no more potato chips at Pluto's Playhouse. Also, they did mention that there was no longer any fruit at the ice cream station. If not there - he mentioned something because I went - I live on fruit!

Wonder if we can get this confirmed?

DH and I just talked about it and we are thinking of taking Lilly with us! We downgraded to a Cat 12 and saved $3000. so we could afford to bring her. We checked and there is still room on our flights. Now we have to decide if we are going to leave this as our special anniversary trip or bring her with us and make it a family trip. DECISIONS!!!
Our son (15)has already said he doesn't want to go because he goes to PCC camp for 6 weeks and would rather do that than go with us.
We'll talk aobut it and decide later tonight.

Well, if not me - at least by DH. Not sure if Ive mentioned this before but DH is extremely lucky. I hate him sometimes. Although he is conveniently lucky to have around for Vegas!

Lately 21 hasn't been a challenge to him so's he's been trying his luck at poker. Guess his sign - Taurus is right for his character - stubborn and one track mind. But as I mentioned - he's a dear. And the best part - he puts up with me!!!

Can't wait, how much more time before we board?
