Would you believe: Summer 2012???

I've spent the past 2 days obsessing about travel agents.

In the past I've used our local AAA office. But I think this time I want to go with a Certified Disney Specialist. I've emailed a ton, and narrowed it down to 3.

I've also been speaking with 2 different friends who want to bring their families at around the same time. I don't want to go as a mega group. But it would be nice if we could all go at about the same time, share info and excitement (and a photopass as well.)

I'm glad to see I am not the only one. We haven't even taken our first WDW Family vacation (July 4th week), which I'm still tinkering with, when I had the bright idea to take a Disney Cruise(another first) in April 2012. pirate: Have spent the last two days researching and taking all the light hearted jokes from my wife on how crazy I am. Its what I get for not taking a true vacation for over 10 years - a lot of making up for lost time.

Would you share which 3? I am considering using a travel agent for the cruise too.

Just curious... of the responses I sent you, which would you go with?

Thanks for sending Alice. I'm a "the devil is in the details" kind of planner so while it seems like they all responded with the same information in general, the one that I would be most confident working with would be the first one. She answered you directly and gave specifics in her answers.

My takeaway based on this is simple - seems they all can do the job and will end up at the same place, its a matter of which one fits best with an individual's style and will make the traveler comfortable that all is being taken care of.

Another summer 2012'er here! We're leaving OK on July 9th, arriving the 10th, and staying 6 nights at CBR. It will be our first trip! I'm planning like a mad woman, and I love every minute of it! My husband is a teacher, I'm a homeschool mom, so summer works fbest or us. :thumbsup2

End of August 2012 for us! I'm happy to find this group of long haul waiters! We're skipping our annual WDW trip this year to go to France, and yes, we'll be stopping by Mickey's home there, but just for 2 days and well... it's just not the same as the World. Not complaining, but I'll miss my home this year. We (I) haven't decided where we'll stay, but right now I'm leaning toward my perennial fave, the Poly or the GF.

June 2012 for us! The family has not been since 2008. We are thinking about POR or the Dolphin. I hate all the extra fees the Dolphin piles on but it might be worth it to be on the Boardwalk and so close to Epcot. The new rooms at POR sound amazing. I think my DDs would love them. 344 more days!

:woohoo: We are looking at going right when school lets out here, in May/June 2012! I am waiting on some quotes and hope to be booking soon!!!

I'll join in. DW and I are thinking of a July 2012 trip too.:confused3 All depends on how the chips fall.

July 2012 for us.........Double checked the dates with the fam a few days ago (us, parents, dbro & his fam) We're leaving on July 24th, arriving on the 25th, staying 7 nights. Still unsure of where to stay (CBR/Poly/BC)........really leaning toward BC if we can do deluxe :woohoo:.

Since the whole family is going, I can't get as into the planning as I usually do........I know my sil wants to choose a few restaurants for dinner, but they (dbro & sil) think I'm planning too early (amatures :sad2:!) I think I'll do as much as I can, then when they feel "it's time to plan", I'll have everything ready......no way I can sit around and wait all year for them ;)!

I'm trying to make my summer 2012 trip a reality...this will be my first solo trip...also my first trip i will fund all by myself...i feel all grown up,haha :yay:
