At 2:30am, my wife and I were woken up by a fire alarm at the Disney Polynesian Village resort in the Pago Pago building. We walked outside in a daze and headed out to the parking lot to watch and wait for the Reedy Creek fire department and Disney security to show up. The fire department showed up in about 5 or 10 minutes. Security escorted everyone to the parking lot. The alarms were going off on all floors and the sprinkler heads were dripping in the hallway while we were walking out. We were told that all was clear in about 20 minutes and told we could go back to our rooms.

We were there too. Did you ever hear what happened? What floor were you on....we were on 2nd & didn't notice sprinkler heads dripping. When we went back in, security said all doors on the 1st floor were unlocked so it was something on that floor but I haven't heard what.

We were on the 3rd floor and the sprinklers were dripping from the ceiling in the hallway. We didn't hear what happened.

We received a UPS delivery from a Disney Cast Member at the Polynesian on July 3rd. It was a short note apologizing for the inconvenience caused by the malfunctioning fire alarm system and they included a post card of Stich and a Polynesian Trading Pin as an apology for the inconvenience.

I'm not home yet, but my husband said we got one too. I think that's a very nice thing they did and was above and beyond.
