Is there a link to information about the kids clubs? I'll be there with my niece, her BF and their 3 kids. Was thinking of taking a night or two to go out to nice dinner or PI. Want to let the kids go to a club of their own. I've never used them before so don't know anything about any of them.

Kids are girl (4 y/o), and boys (6 & 9). The boys like video and computer games, girl loves princesses and they all love to watch videos/movies.

So here are my questions.
1. Which club would have something for each of them to do?
2. What is the cost?
3. Do they get meals there?
4. What are the hours?
5. Do you have to be staying at a resort to use its kids club?

We're staying at ASMovies.

Any pros/cons about the clubs would be appreciated.
Terri

All the clubs have very similiar activities, so I would pick the one that is most convenient for you.
If you are planning a meal at a resort, then I would choose the club at that resort - I can't think which would be easiest for Pleasure Island.

there are details of all the clubs here Childcare FAQ

1. Which club would have something for each of them to do?
They would all be fine

2. What is the cost? £10/hour

3. Do they get meals there? Yes

4. What are the hours?4:30 p.m. to midnight.

5. Do you have to be staying at a resort to use its kids club? No, you are supposed to be staying on-site, but you don't have to be staying at the specific hotel whose kids club you use.
We used the Sandcastle Club and Simba's Cub House last year, and we were staying at AKL

Also, on Deb Wills' site it has a listing for Harbor Club at the Boardwalk. Is it still there? I looked on Disney's website and it isn't mentioned.

That would be a good one if we went to Jellyrolls.

Terri

I think it's there, but if not, the Sandcastle club at Y&B would be nearly as convenient.

The Harbor Club has closed.

The Club at the GF is only supposed to be for kids staying at the GF, although if you are dining there they will make exceptions if it's not a busy time of the year. The club there is VERY small, which is probably why they have that rule. (This might have changed, this was as of 1997 or 98.)

Neverland at the Polynesian seems to be the overall favorite year after year.

As far as eating there, this varies club to club. Other than Neverland, which used to offer a buffet dinner to kids every night (but this also might have changed, please check) most of the clubs didn't offer food, or if they did it was from the room service kids menu at that resort, and it was EXPENSIVE! ($11-13 each after service fees and gratuities)

We always fed DS before we left him, other than at Neverland.

Katie was offered food at both the Yacht and Beach and Animal Kingdom Lodge - we had to order it when she arrived, it was a pretty limited menu, chicken nuggets, burgers or PB&J from what I can remember, maybe Macaroni and cheese? it was included in the price at both clubs. They also got ice-cream later on in the evening.

I believe it was only served at specific times, like 6, 7 and 8, and you could select when tehy would eat.

There is more official info here- all say 'meal included' - the neverland club lists a buffet which does sound nicer than the food offered to Katie.kids clubs on disney website

from the Boardwalk? If we took Disney Transportation to the BW, could we walk to Sandcastle Club with the kids? We'd then walk back to BW to go to Jellyrolls. Also doeas anyone know what time Jellyrolls opens?
Thanks!
Terri

the boardwalk and Yacht and Beach are all in a circle, it's probably a 20 minute walk right round? I would take the transportation to Y&B, drop off the kids, then walk around to the Boardwalk, the stroll will be nice and the atmosphere on the Boardwalk is lovely, then after your done at Jellyrolls, you can easily walk back to the Y&B.

My only concern/question is that disney transportatoin doesn't go from hotel to hotel, so it might be hard to get from All Stars to either hotel on a bus, you will probably have to go to a park and then change buses.

I think i'd be inclined to look into getting a taxi on the way back, if it's going to be late and the kids will be tired.

Bev

If it's not too late at night, you could take the boat from BC to MGM and then catch the bus back to the All-Stars. You could always go back and get the kids by yourself and your niece and BF could stay out later if they wanted. Not sure how late the busses leave MGM though.

We'll also have a car, so we could drive to BW if we wanted to. Probably won't decide until that day. Taking the boat from BC to MGM might be fun. Give the kids another mode of transportation to talk about.

I think BevS97 is right about the food thing, I remember checking our kids in right before 6:00 and the CM saying "oh good I can call in their order with the others at 6:00" I think if they had arrived after the order was called in they would have had to wait until the 7:00 order. THis was at the Sandcastle Club. THey enjoyed their stay so much they want to go back again this year.
