Water parks closed for refurbishment?

Hi! I've heard that Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon each close at some point during the year for "refurbishment". Does anyone know when that takes place? I've never been to either, but would like to get to at least one during my New Year's trip (if they're not closed!) Thanks!

They close one at a time, so you will be able to do at least one
BB was closed when we were there in late Jan.

When does TL shut and how long for

Typically TL is closed during November/December with BB closed during January/February. Although last year BB stayed closed through mid March. I also read somewhere that that scheduled might be flip flopped this year.
